Potato buns in T.O.?
Has anyone come across potato buns in Toronto? They're the most soft, moist, and delicious buns I've ever had the pleasure of tasting, and are a match made in heaven with a nice Hebrew National hotdog! I love buying both these items in the States, but have had no success finding either in Toronto. Any help on locating potato buns would be appreciated! As for the Hebrew Nationals, that's another search for another time (and is already a separate, active discussion).
General Tao Tofu
I've ordered tofu general tao many many times at Noodle Express near Concordia on the south side of DeMaisonneuve just west of Mackay, and it's delicious. A great tao sauce, and the tofu is great. I'm not sure if it's battered, but it's crispy on the outside as it's been fried. So batter or no batter, I often favoured it to the chicken, and I'm no silly vegetarian ;)
Best and Cheapest AYCE in Downtown Toronto -
AYCE lunch at Yonge & Eglinton. Eaton Sushi. Pretty good selection, like Golden Dragon and Spider roll for example. Good fish, nice place. But not that downtown I guess...
AYCE Japanese with no time limit?
Sushi & Tea is AYCE NO MORE!!!! When I arrived, our server informed us that they stopped the AYCE about a month and a half ago. So beware. That being said, there's a great new AYCE sushi around the corner on Eglinton, just between Yonge and Mt. Pleasant called Eaton Sushi. About $20 (weekends) for AYCE dinner with good selection, very respectable quality fish, and much nicer decor on the inside than appears from the outside.
