Dylan Prime or BLT?

I think you are all wrong. While both BLT's and Dylan Prime are very nicely appointed, the best steak and wine list matched to the steakhouse menu in NYC is Spark's. Perfectly charred on the outside, juicy and med rare on the inside. No bells or whistles, well executed sides. And one of the best red wine selections for the money in NYC.

New Years Eve excellence...

Any one had a great New Years eve meal? For the first time this NYE we went to a friends house and I am joansing for some NYE restaurant scoop! Happy New Years to all and happy eating in 2008.

Long Branch - Options

Yes, it is the same owner as Ranoosh. The food is just as good, but still strict Kosher. So only kosher wine.

Amy's Omelette House in Long Branch

A decent little breakfast srop in LB is North Beach Grill. Very small, good food and creative specials. The crowd is big on the weekend and service is always a little on the slow side (you will understand why when you see the size of the kitchen), but the food is good. I NEVER liked Amy's omlettes, they were just a gaint plate of scrambled eggs with stuff in it. I like mine thick and fluffy and the best I have found are at cask 591 on there lunch menu.

Rooney's - Long Branch

I think what youare all missing, in addition to the mediocre at best food is the newly priced menu. The clam bake used to be a great value at $50 for 2 lobsters a year or 2 ago, now it is $90 for the same item! SOunds a little crazy to me.

Long branch N.J.

Never been to Carmella's, I love Strollo's soft serve and their Italian ice in the summer.

Long branch N.J.

I live in LB as well. Dino's is very good, but yes it is pricey. Kam Zaman is the old owner of Ranoosh, the food is great but, you are still limited to Kosher wine. I stick to vodka while there, some of the best lamb chops I have ever had when he has them. I have had several great meals at cask 591 recently and put it on my regular rotation. And BTW, Max's is much better then WIndmill, unless it's 3am and you are wasted!

Le Fandy Prix Fixe Fish Dinner

I agree! I was there on Thursday and had a great piece of Halibut as well. I beleive the prix fixe was $42.50 and only applied to fish choices. A little perprexed by the $5 up charge for the $37 halibut, all other fish options were $35. Non the less we had a wonderful meal, Luke knows what he is doing in that kitchen.

Great local spots in Long Branch

I just discovered a small place in Long Branch called Biaggio on Saturday night. Food was good as was service. After dinner we discovered the place next door (Cask 591, I think), there was a band playing. My wife loved the look of the place. It reminded here of Brooklyn, where we just moved from. Has anyone tried the food in the place? Any other recomendations in the area? Thanks
