Food cart lunches for a 4 Portland vacation days
We hit koi and the carts on hawthorne yesterday and loved them. We took a break today but we want to get serious and do only food carts for lunch for the rest of our trip (4 days). Will be heading to the carts downtown tomorrow and I have heard of Big Ass Sandwiches and Etta but need recommendations for a thai or vietnamese cart and an indian cart and anything else worth mentioning! Thanks!
Miami Restaurant Help
I would definitely rethink Roaster's and Toaster's. have you visited since the switch Frod? I was incredibly dissapointed. The one down south is much better. Near there there is a French bakery, La Brioche Doree, and a kosher cafe called Tasti Cafe which are both better IMHO. It was awesome when it was Arnie and Richie's...it is missed!

Has anyone tried one of the Organic Produce Buying Clubs in Miami? Which one to choose?
I have tried both. Based on quantity for the money, quality of food and variety of items, organic buying club. If you need flexibility and cannot make full commitment to shares, then you may want to consider Annies club. You will have enough for 2 people for 6 days a week with each share for sure. I personally went back to alternating farmer's markets and whole foods just because I like choosing what I buy and with a toddler cannot always keep my commitments to pick up every share, but I love the buying clubs, it is a great thing to do! Indian food in Miami?
Haven't been to Heelsha in almost 2 years. Surprised they are still open. Sorry to hear your experience was so awful. I have been satisfying my Indian food cravings at Bengal on Buscayne Blvd (OK food) and Udipi Cafe (really like this place).
South Beach - girls weekend - cuban, tapas, steakhouse -- must love food!
I like to go to good old Versailles in Calle Ocho, like the feel of the place. I also love Palacio de Los Jugos on Flager and 57th. Latin is so many things so it depends on specific cuisines. I love Peruvian. Biscayne Blvd has a few decent Peruvian place, and there is a bit more upscale Peruvian in the Gables, but my fave recently is Salmon Salmon...

Senyor Parellada was the only non-tapas place I went to while there and we didn't love it. We loved the actual restaurant, so beautiful and lively, but not so much the food. What did we miss? What should I recommend they order if I send them there?

So my mother wants my help for dinner reservations for one night in Barcelona, problem is all I did while I was there all I did was eat tapas and that is not their thing. They want the traditional dinner experience but it can't be too pricey, I am thinking about $50 per person without wine? I would like to send them to the Barri Gotic or El Born so they can get to see that part of the city. Please help me help my poor mom. Thanks!

biscayne blvd eats
They have some on the staff that are great and some that are just awful...the valet guy is a complete jerk...But the food makes up for it IMO. Every time we go it is better. Last week we had some incredible oxtail and a whole snapper there. Delicioso... we are big fans of this guy...
