Coming into Sea Tac at around 4pm and staying at an airport hotel - can I have some recs for a good, cheap dinner spot? Happy to stay at the airport, but not sure about kid friendlyness there.

Am already planning to use light rail/buses for the Pancake Chef in the am, so am willing to travel some for dinner on public trans. also.

Anyone know how to get hold of the pomegranate gumdrops WF used to carry? We've tried ordering through the store, but never have had the order filled.

I'd be up for an alternative purveyor, if anyone can recommend one?

I'm on the email list for this place, and got a message that a new pizza oven was wired. We tried it tonight, and Chris Brophy makes a great, thin-crust pie. We tried the Duke Kahanamoko - prosciutto, pineapple, fresh mozz and a rosemaryish tomato sauce, and also the Chef's Special. He forgot about that one, and though he let us eat it, he also made a second one for us to bring home at no charge. Small but decent beer & wine selection.

Hey all - looking for a good place to pick up fresh fish. Any recs? Any experience with the SW Waterfront fish market?

Wow, thank you everybody! I'm not sure yet where, exactly, we'll be living, but the job possibility is at Wayne State. I did a little digging, as suggested, and I am very delighted with the abundance & variety of crops grown in MI. We're looking forward to discovering it all.

about local food there. I'm in DC now, and utterly spoiled for choice among the farmer's markets and amazing ethnic markets/restaurants. I would love some idea of what's around Detroit as far as those things go. Thank you!

For things like excellent chocolate, for instance. Whole Paycheck (at least the 14th & P store) has been wildly inconsistent for a while now, and I'm looking for someplace new in DC to try. Suggestions?

Does anyone have a good idea about where to acquire frozen passionfruit pulp in the DC area?
