pretty sure its first come. It is a daunting wait. Check out Spenard roadhouse - its about same distance - has something for everyone. American food with twists - very plain items and fun stuff too - runs from tater tots and mac and cheese to miso glazed pork belly and letuuce wraps - they have pizza too.

Its really good beer really good root beer fast service but the wait is 30 min on the super fast side to 1.5 hour

there is an outback within walking distance and within cab distance is the mooses tooth, very busy brewpub noisy - ok with families expect a wait fun atmosphereu are near many chain type places. Romanos italian is pretty close -Spenard Roadhouse is good pretty close and fun

I take the whole head - cut the stem off/ out . Removing ALL of the stem - I then gently blanch the whole thing and peel them off as it goes - as it cooks slightly it gets easy to pull off.

I clarify the butter and it gets rid of the milk solids.. I use a pit of parmesano reggianno - (sp) sheeps milk based and when I really want it to be a bit creamy I add a bit of soy cream cheese

reality check - avocados in my neck of the woods are running about 4 bucks a pop. If they were that cheap here I would be an avocado ( as in, u are what u eat)

gf breadcrumbs don't seem to have enough integrity and are a bit dense and if cooked in sauce the bread crumb kind of leaches out. It can be done - I make my own gf crumb with a better result -

my husband and I met in culinary school. We have both had over 20 year long careers(still going) ...yet he can get pretty useless in our home kitchen. He actually has to "prep" and do dishes lol. I end up doing virtually all the cooking

porcupines - can be made with the ingredients you have. Its hearty stick to your ribs kind of meal and will make a lot if you have the rice. Basically its ground beef and onion season a bit mix with rice make balls cover with water and tomato product and cook til rice is tender - Im sure you can find a recipe on line some are pressure cooker .

blowtorch idea is good - also - get your food closer to heat source. don't just count on rack being at the rt level

Wow - its my third time , sounds less than good and it is so GOOD. Its kind of a hole in the wall. Sushi is good, Hawaiian food is very good. I have taken two very skeptical friends there who now rave about the musubi.

That is a broad declaration. I have intolerences. I do not know the feingold diet. I have done research. I am not a faker - I would love to eat wheat, dairy and chicken eggs. Occasionally I do - and I get sooo sick.
Childhood foods you would *totally* eat now...
college years had me eating it with beer instead of milk and butter LOL - but Yum.
Alternative to buttercream and 7 minute frosting?
its not really frosting but I dip lemon poppyseed muffins in fresh lemon juice while still warm and then immediatley into granulated sugar it makes a pleasing sweet and tart topping

I just cope.....sometimes I don't eat much - not my hosts problem. If they ask I'll tell but I don't want to be a burden, its embarrassing. When I have people over I cook normal food for them. My food problems are mine not theirs.

I ordered a burger, requested no bun. Quizzical look so I explained I can't have wheat. Server lit up with a big smile.......you can have ours, they aren't wheat they are white.
