Santa Fe cheap eats...but tasty?

Guadalupe Cafe on Old Santa Fe Trail is good and reasonable. Kids like it. Can be crowded, though.

ABQ Dim Sum

Amerasia moved to Third and Slate. Just got a good review in one of the Albuquerque dailies.

ABQ West Side: Bombay Grill or India Palace?

Bombay Grill gets my vote.

ariano's in durango

We went to the Metate Room. Total nightmare. Food was good, wine was excellent but the service was beyond horrendous until all we could do was joke about it and be glad we had wine to drink. As my husband put it, "Worst service we ever had with such good food." Maybe they should hire a few more people; the poor waiter had 2 tour group tables, plus another large table and our table of 3, and he wasn't all that competent to begin with. Never again.

What about the restaurant at Mesa Verde? I think we're going to stay at the Far View Lodge instead of in Durango, because it's cheaper and we were going to Mesa Verde the next morning anyway.

I was afraid it might have slipped. Recommendations for a nice (birthday) dinner? Seasons? Ken & Sue's?

ariano's in durango

A few years back, we ate at an Italian restaurant named Ariano's in Durango. I believe it is under new ownership now. Does anyone know if it is still any good?

Food near/at San Juan airport?

I agree

Green Chili Cheese Burger

There's a place in the strip mall at Coors and Montano in Albuquerque that has outstanding gccbs. Spinns Burgers & Beer. Apparently modeled after Rex's Hamburgers, which I never had.

Gardunos - Rio Rancho, NM

There is no Garduno's in Rio Rancho. Are you thinking of the one in Albuquerque on Coors Blvd.? Sorry you had a bad time; I've been there dozens of times and never had anything as bad as what you describe.

Need ABQ suggestions for New Mexican that serve dinner after 6pm

M&T's doesn't serve alcohol, just so you know. Sadie's has great margaritas. So does Garduno's, but it's not as New Mexican as Sadie's.

Visitor-4 days in S.Fe/Alb...where to eat???

Garcia's is an Albuquerque chain with great breakfasts and great tortillas, plus they're really cheap. The one on West Central and the one on lower Fourth Street (at Mountain) are probably the best,

Food near/at San Juan airport?

Metropol gets great reviews, both in Chowhound and elsewhere on the web. Thanks for the tip. Do the taxis charge per person, like they do in St. Thomas, or per carload?

Food near/at San Juan airport?

We're staying overnight at the Luis Munoz Marin airport en route to St. Thomas/St. John. The Best Western doesn't have a restaurant. Is there anything good at the airport or right nearby? We won't have a car but might consider a taxi.
