Chef's Table/Cafe Gary worth it?

Hi all,
We are taking a few close friends out for a celebration dinner (wedding reception), and would love to do something special. I have researched so much now my face is turning blue... I am considering Cafe Gary as they seem to have a nice chef's table. Since it is quite a splurge for us ($225/person), just want to know if I am making the right choice. Please help!

Somewhere with casual elegant decor would be great (though I have yet to visit cafe Gary), went to EMP and thought it was slightly too fancy.

10-12 guests, early 30s, architect/designers
Budget: $200/ person
Cuisine: anything except Italian and Japanese
Tasting menu or chef's table

Thank you in advance!

Arthur Avenue Review

I think you mean "Burek"? (from Tony and Tina's) Bourek is something else (A nigerian pastry, also stuffed with meat or cheese)

Private Room Party for 50 (wedding reception)

Hi all,
We are looking for either a small restaurant or one with a private room for 40-50 people. Any suggestions you have would be great.

Cuisine: Open (French, Italian, Japanese)
Vibe: Casual eleghant – being a wedding reception we want to treat our guests but it doesn't have to be fancy. If we can rent the whole space a cozy place would be fine too.
Budget: Around $60
Location: Downtown if possible

Thank you in advance!
