Sushi Zo Question
Is Sushi Zo omakase only now or can you still order a la carte off the menu? If the former, about how much does it cost for omakase without drinks? Basically, I am hoping I can have it cost under $100 pp - or can you just let them know about how much you want to spend and will they be accomodating? Thanks!

Ce Fiore in Kirkland
Wow, that's surprising for it to be in Kirkland! I can't wait to try it! I've been to the one in Little Tokyo in LA and I really like their frozen yogurt. Are other frozen yogurt places like this in the area? The only other similar place I've been to is Bleuet Yogurt in Portland.
Portland - Vegetarian Lunch?
Hello all!
I will be visiting Portland on Saturday and I'm looking for a recommendation for a vegetarian-friendly place to eat lunch (sometime between 11-2). I did a little research and it seems a lot of vegetarian recommended restaurants are only open for dinner on Saturdays. Both of us don't eat meat but will occassionally eat fish (I guess technically we're pescatarian). I am not keen on parallel parking so I would prefer somewhere that has a parking lot :P
Thanks!
Yogurtland Opening 5/12/07 in Irvine
Wow it looks so different from the Fullerton one! :P I can't wait to go try out the new location :) Thanks for the pictures!
Mochi Cream?
Thank you for the responses :) However, I think there may be a difference between mochi cream and mochi ice cream. I just noticed this mochi in the picture is different than any mochi I've seen before. Mochi cream looks like a light, flavored cream filling with the bean paste, whereas on the other hand, mochi icecream is flavored icecream without the bean paste. I figured I'd try and see if anyone knew about where to possibly get these types of mochis since I noticed they sell it in Hawaii at Shirokiya at the sweets deli counter (from an online ad that a google search returned to me) :P So they do sell it in the US, I just hoped there was a place in SoCal that has these babies! :)
Thanks again!
Mochi Cream?
Hi everyone!
I came across this picture of mochi cream: http://www.flickr.com/photos/islegrl/467588678/ and I was wondering if anyone knows of a place that sells Mochi Cream - because I would love to try one...or more!
There's also this website: http://www.mochicream.com/ that shows some more pictures. It doesn't look like it's mochi icecream but a lighter cream filling along with the bean paste.
Thanks!
Bakery Nouveau in West Seattle?
I just went there for the first time and had a chocolate croissant and several macarons. Everything was delicious! The croissant was buttery and flakey and the macarons had a crisp shell and a wonderful sweet and chewy inside. Of the five flavors I liked the coffee macaron the best. I will definitely go back again for the macarons.
Vegetarian ramen?
Does anyone know of where I could find vegetarian ramen - something with a veggie/mushroom based broth? Fish based broth is okay too. I am willing to go pretty much anywhere in LA or OC to try some good (non-meat) ramen.
Thanks!
Vegetarian Beef Noodle Soup At Bean Sprouts Chinese Vegetarian in Arcadia
I'm somewhat of a vegetarian in that I eat only fish and vegetables. The veggie beef noodle soup was delicious. For the longest time, I have craved some sort of noodle dish that doesn't have actual meat. I expected the broth to be watery but it was actually savory and the "meat" was surprisingly good in taste and texture. We also had the radish cakes which I loved - they were crispy on the outside and reminded me somewhat of hash browns but with a smooth texture. The rainbow roll was okay - it just seemed like rolled up salad leaves with mayo. The curry filled spring rolls were tasty. We also ordered the pineapple fried rice and dan dan noodles and sampled a little of each, but at that point were were stuffed :) The portions are fairly large here. I also thought the boba milk tea was good. The tapioca was chewy the way I like it. I can't wait to go back here again - the only drawback for me is that it's pretty far from OC.
Yogurtland in Irvine?
Ah, I had a feeling it would be in that plaza. The parking itself will be an adventure when Yogurtland opens there ;)
Yogurtland in Irvine?
Does anyone know where (like the general location) and possibly when the Yogurtland in Irvine will open? The Irvine location will be so much more convenient for me to get my fix :) I actually prefer Yogurtland over Pinkberry since Yogurtland has more flavors to choose from and pretty much the same toppings (except that Pinkberry has the mochi topping..oh well, you can't win them all). Even the plain yogurt flavors taste very similar to me.
