Buffet Suggestions

Thanks JK. Do you think Wynn's worth the extra $15pp from Aria's?
Btw, we're staying at Aria. We are heading going out the night before so maybe Aria may be a better option for us...

Buffet Suggestions

Brunch is also fine.

Buffet Suggestions

I'm looking into the buffet at Aria since it's $20pp and we're staying here. Please let me know what you think!

Buffet Suggestions

I'm celebrating my 30th Birthday in vegas with 10 of my friends next weekend.
We want to do Sunday Lunch Buffet on the strip. Any suggestions?
I've been to the Bellagio buffet in the past and wasn't totally wow'd by it.
I heard Wynn is amazing, but I'm looking for something with a cheaper price tag, say $15-25pp.

Other $-$$ restaurant suggestions are welcome.
Few of us are big foodies but given that we live in NYC have been to most of the famous chef's restaurants, we're not looking for anything upscale or fancy.
We're hoping to get something that we can't get back here... like In-n-Out, Vegas Buffets, etc.

Thanks all!

Momofuku Ko Tonight -- Wine Pairings

There are wine (sake and beer are also included) pairings for either $50, $100, or $150. We both chose the $50 one since we're not a huge wine connoisseur. I was feeling a bit buzzed towards the end of the meal. My boyfriend and I were also extremely full (almost unbearable) at the end of the meal. Have a great time!

Grand Sichuan 9th Ave -- what to order?

i usually get the same things - soup dumplings to start, bok choy, steamed fish (ask for their suggestions), mapo tofu (very spicy), and a spicy chicken dish (sorry i don't remember what it was called).

SeamlessWeb sushi midtown?

Suprisingly, the sushi at Fu's House (chinese) is far better in taste and value than any other sushi from Japanese restaurants our firm orders from. (Unanimous win by my colleagues and myself.) For example, if you order one order of salmon sashimi, they'll give you two pieces. Doesn't quite work for sushi pieces though...

Spanish throwdown - what do you love?

i also love the breakfast menu at the flame diner - lots of healthy options!
and i'm sorry to hear about your experience at kum gang san. you probabaly chose the worst restaurant to go to on that street.

Chinatown Ice Cream- Taro, Red Bean, Lychee????

wow i didn' t know they had that! i would have to try it out next time!

Chinatown Ice Cream- Taro, Red Bean, Lychee????

i like red bean, black sesame, and green tea. most japanese restaurants do offer red bean ice cream on their menu althought it's not as good as chinatown's ice cream factory.

Pylos or Thalassa?

i would think pylos as more of "catch up with friends spot" and thalassa as more of an anniversary type of place. i liked them both in different ways.

mandoo soup

Hope it's not too late but Mandoo Bar in Koreatown had great dumpling soup (no rice cake though). you can also try Keunjip across the street but that place is usually very packed.

Losing my religion (fried chicken)

i tried bonchon last week and loved it. 4 very hungry guys and myself shared two orders of drumsticks and we were stuffed! bonchon is different from baden baden. i love them both in very different ways. bonchon is fried but w/out all the crispy breading exterior.
service is horrible and slow. i would recommend going there BEFORE you are hungry. lol.
but i did also enjoy pinkberry afterwards. i'm an addict. infact, i think i'm going there tonight.

Early Brunch around MSG

thanks RGR! i was actually considering Marseille!! I've been there for dinner and loved it but wasn't sure about how brunch would be. i was just reading their menus while waiting for someone to comment. =)
i will consider cafe at country sometime later as well.

NYC next weekend to the nth degree - thoughts?

sounds like a great "foodie" plan... only Saturday seems like a huge day for eating! you might not even enjoy gramercy tavern if you have both norma's and lombardi's on the same day!! i would switch Norma's to Sunday and bagels for saturday. btw, i don't think GT required jackets happy eating!

Early Brunch around MSG

Hello. I am taking an out of towner to the Knick's game tomorrow afternoon at 12pm.
We wanted to have early lunch or late breakfast around 10:30 - 11 but I really can't think of any place around MSG. Any ideas? I was thinking doing quick brunch in Hell's Kitchen at 11 and taking a cab over...
Any places you would recommend in the lower 40's; upper 30s' west side (that takes 11am seating)?
Thanks!

Great, inexpensive Thai in Manhattan?

i'm a wondee siam fan also.

Best cut at Del Frisco's????

i actually love del frisco's. steaks are great, not best, but i like their creamed spinach side with bacon!! for best steak, go to spark's. sides and service are so-so.

Per Se price increase

I went there for the first time last month and thought it was the most incredible dining experience ever. Agreed by my other 4 foodie family/friends that were with me that night. We were there for 5 hours with 9 courses + extra. None of us wanted the wine pairing so we told their wine expert we wanted few glasses throughout the course to compliment the food and we were looking to spend XX-XXX each. Excellent choices she made! Spent about 350 pp and it was worth every penny. We will try to make this an annual trip.

Best Real Sezchuan Food in NYC

i've tried st. mark's, midtown, and chelsea's grand sichuan. chelsea is the best and i always get soup dumplings, mapo tofu (extremely spicy), bok choy, and a fish dish.

Great brunch in West 40-50

Eatery or Vynl.

Soup Dumplings - Where else?

i've had joe shanghai's and grand sichuan's.
for good cheap dumplings, try dumpling house. 5 dumplings for 2 bucks. you really can't beat that.
