Buzz restaurant / chef Boston

My chef boyfriend and I are going to Boston in September... We like all sorts of foods, but he cooks high end bistro. When we travel, we usually try to find a restaurant and chef that are getting a lot of attention. Not because the restaurant is trendy, but because the chef is innovative and the food is just plain amazing. We will have at least one lunch and one dinner.. The lunch could be casual, quintessential Boston. Dinner we are willing to spend a little more on... $150 - $200. Of course, if there is a fabulous restaurant that is less expensive we are open to that as well!!

Queen Anne Dinner for 7

Fooddawg,

It turned out to be the perfect place for my group... It was a busy night at Crow and a few people from our group were running late. So we started out with cocktails and apps. Our server was very attentive and never made us feel rushed, even though we stayed longer then he probably expected.

It was also nice because our sometimes loud and interesting conversations did not seem to bother the surrounding tables.

Everybody really enjoyed the food. I had the special... Duck with lentils. Very good... Huge portion for $18. Definitely could of split it.

I am excited about "Betty", as it will be right down the street from me... I am assuming that it will be a slightly different concept, making it worth going down the hill still!

Bread Pudding in Seattle

The bread pudding at Boat Street is delish... It is comforting, amaretto, sweet, yumminess. Definitely something that needs to be shared as it is very sweet and rich to eat by yourself. My boyfriend and I had it after his birthday brunch, while sipping mimosas... it felt very indulgent!

Thank you all for your reccomendations! I ended up going with Crow. They could get us in at 6:30, which is a little earlier then desired, but I have two pregnant friends that I think would appreciate the early reservations.

We will then go to my place for dessert and after dinner drinks... Has anybody tried those ice cream cocktails that were a featured receipe on CHOW the other day??

Queen Anne Dinner for 7

I live on the hill and would love a suggestion for a good place to have dinner with a group of girls next Saturday. I would love to be able to walk from my place... but have thought that Crow at the bottom of the hill may be a good option. This group can be kind of loud when we are all together, so I don't want to go a restaurant where we would overwhelm it!
