Best Monte Cristo in NE?

Coming from Florida, there was only a couple places I can think of in Fort Lauderdale that served a proper Monte Cristo, that is, deep fried and served with maple syrup. I have yet to find a place in RI or Mass that even has it on the menu! Anyone know of a good one?

Chinese Buffet w/ Made to Order Sushi in RI

Yep, been to that one, good food but not the one I'm talking about unfortunately. Any other ideas?

Chinese Buffet w/ Made to Order Sushi in RI

Okay I'm almost certain I got the rec. from this board, but I can't find it to save my life. There's a Chinese buffet somewhere in Rhode Island (I believe I was in south county somewhere, but it may have been Cranston or Warwick too, I truly can't remember) that had a sushi bar that was real made to order and really quite decent! Unlike the other chinese buffets there was no sushi out with the rest of the food, it was just this little tiki bar type setup with the sushi chef behind it and then the rest of the regular buffet standards, which were also pretty top notch for a buffet.

Help, please.. anyone! I'm craving the heck out of this place for some reason and went to 3 of the wrong buffets already trying to find it!

Good/not-pricey Saturday dinner in Cranston/Warwick/EG?

I'll second Uncle Sushi for sure, good quality for the price, has to be the least expensive sushi in the state. And it's about a block away from Hon's House of Noodles, which also gets my vote for cheap eats.

Best Chicharrones in RI?

I haven't had a good chicharron since I left Miami a few years ago! Where exactly is this magical spanish market you speak of?

Good/not-pricey Saturday dinner in Cranston/Warwick/EG?

We went to Macera tonight. Wow, that was absolutely the WORST Italian dining experience I've had in Rhode Island yet! The 'sauce' is bland, the squid in my squid pasta was as chewy as a rubber band, and the prices were frankly at least 25% more than the 'ambiance' and location deserve, especially for such an obvious lack of quality or effort. Presentation and ambiance are literally on par with your average weenie joint. I would avoid this place like the damn plague.

Any Korean in Providence, RI

Nobody likes Sura in Johnston? I've never had their Bibimbap, but I've always enjoyed the food I've gotten from there, including the sushi when they had it.

Providence dinner - Latin American food

Taqueria Lupita in Central Falls would be my choice for awesome *real* Mexican food if you don't mind it being outside of Providence. Here's an old review I found on them for ya:

Where to find Conch?

No I haven't.. It's a bit of a hike from me to the Quincy location (closest) and I'm having trouble communicating with them on the phone.

Where to find Conch?

I've been looking for real conch (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conch) up here since I moved from Miami 4 years ago. All I can find in Rhode Island is Whelk, aka Scungilli (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scungilli).

I know queen conch is on the endangered species list, but there's other forms of real conch that are commonly available for sale down there, even in WalMart for god sakes. Up here I've struck out in my visits to what must be dozens of seafood purveyors. They all say "yes, I have conch" on the phone and I arrive to find, of course, whelk!

Will work for conch, please help! :-)

There in lies part of the problem, I don't recall the names of the places I visited. It was probably 3-4 years ago that I last tried looking for dim sum in MA, I just get my fix when I go to NY or Philly.

Best Pho Dining Experience - Providence RI

I enjoyed Pho Horn, but I do like Pho Paradise on Broad Street as well. It's a bit too oily for me sometimes, but very good usually.

Mexican in RI?

I need to second, or third, or fourth Taqueria Lupita. I'm there probably once a week or so for the spicy goat soup and spicy pork tostadas, absolutely amazing food. Couldn't be cheaper either, esp for the super fresh ingredients they use.
