late night food near Newark Airport en route to Wayne
We are picking up someone who is arriving at Newark Airport at 9:30pm on Saturday and want to take him out to eat someplace decent but not formal, open at 10pm on a Saturday night and either in Newark close to the airport or on the way back to Wayne. Any ideas?

The manager said they had vsited what were supposed to be the better Asian restaurants int he area before they opened this place. The owners have another restaurant with the same name in Mt. Arlington, NJ.

My friend mentioned that 35 years we had taken her and her husband to a Szechan restaurant in Manhattan's Chinatown which had the best dried sauteed string beans they have ever eaten. I cant remember what restaurant that was. For a dinner this week, what would be the restaurant in Manhattan's Chinatown that would have the best dried sauteed string beans?

Does anyone have any information about where I could either eat ling cod in a restaurant in the NYC area or buy some in the NYC area? My daughter caught one in Alaska and it is wonderful to eat. Ling cod, by the way, is not in the cod family.

That website is no longer active but the restaurant is wonderful! The correct address is 179 Cahill Cross Road, West Milford, NJ. Khon Thon is located in Bald Eagle Commons. We had lunch there today even though the restaurant is not open until 4 on Sundays. I didn't know that but the owner and main chef offered to make us lunch anyway. The food was very, very good. The ambience is quite good too.

Where did you get your black twig apples? We live in NYC and picked some in NJ, about a 1 1/4 hour drive away. Not exactly convenient. I'd love to know of a NYC greenmarket that carried them or anyplace else closer by. Black Twigs are tart and firm. They make winesaps seem wimpy.
