I am looking for recs for a 9pm post movie meal near the movie theatre at embarcadero center.

There are 12 of us and we will be looking for moderate proced options where we can drink as well.

Friday dining around Japantown?

Any suggestions for fun, great options in or near Japantown for 8 stressed out parents (w/o kids) looking to enjoy a movie and dinner?

We are open to Japanese or other cuisines near the Kabuki theatre. Don't care much about price as long as it is great, fun and we can drink!

Passover Seder at local restaurants?

Does anyone have any sugestions for local restaurants that do public Seders? My wife, our 7 year old and I live in SF but are willing to travel.

Last year we went to the public Seder at the JCC of SF. It was nice but we are open to other sugestions.

SF to Santa Cruz on Rte. 1

Duartes can be difficult w/o a res on weekends and is a bit of a production. Though we love it. The San Gregorio general store is really neat but has very little in the way of food

In Pescadero though there are are two other options.

1) in the Gas Station catty corner to Duarte's is a decent tacqueria.
2) Down the street in one on the two markets is a wood fired pizzaria- haven't tried it yet but it was hoping the other day when I was there. Also they have barbeques outside there fairly regularly.

Pescadero it self is worth looking around.

Dinner for a 'Mixed' Crowd

Try Bix!

Super tasty "supper-club" with great martinis and great new takes on old american classics. Some of the best steaks in town, great fish, steak tartar, house smoked trout salad, insanely good tatter-tot-like "potato pillows" topped with caviar and creme fraiche, truffled french fries etc etc.

Super swanky setting in a "secret" back alley setting. Traditional yet hip. Take the group here and you will be a hero! (also good live jazz in the background)
