Glass-Hostaria in Rome

Dual birthday celebration for my husband and me on last Sunday in September. We're hardened new Yorkers so we always expect wonderful food but always want that "something" more that makes a restaurant experience a great one. Hi or low cuisine, price, locatio not as important as its own uniqueness. So feel free to recommend any you love. Well be in Rome for 4 days.

We hear that Glass Hosteria is marvelous. I'm having trouble accessing their web site. Any recent diners out there?. Other suggestions welcome for birthday lunch and dinner. Thanks.

I'm from Boston, NY Wife says: "NY Pizza is the best." So where is it?

Slightly new question. What's the best pizza and delivery near Lincoln Center? Pizza does have to be good though.

I've just had another recommendation of Engelbecken. Opinions? Finally, does anybody know what good restaurants of the type we want are near the Staatsoper? Thanks again.

Thanks all for your suggestions. We want all sorts of German/Austrian/Swiss food, of all kinds-traditional to daring so these are the restaurants on our list. Of course we will go to KaDeWe and the Saturday market.

Paris - early lunch/brunch in the 16th

Mu husband and I will be taking an Architectural walking tour, mostly in the 16th. We have to meet our guide at 1:45PM. Any suggestions for an interesting casual bite or ethnic food. We're going to Le Fables des Fontaine that night so we don't want to duplicate that kind of experience. Thanks, in advance.

Berlin

My husband and I are off to Berlin for 4 days/nights. We like small/owner/chef places with excellent/innovative food...but we do not like trendy spots. I have a small list (not including the stands/markets/dessert places) and would like input on the following restaurants.

Weinbar Ruth
MAXWELL
Oderquelle

AND, Diekmann -- Which is the better place for us: The one near Potsdamer Platz or the one in Charlottenburg. Are both open for dinner? We want to have an early dinner the evening we arrive.

Any other suggestions are most welcome.
