I have always had a great burger at Phylis's-no complaints.
Best Fried Chicken in Atlanta
I love Matthews in Tucker-great chicken and great sides for a great price. I also like Fat Matt's Chicken Shack, Colonnade-I did not care so much for Mary Mac's.

anyone have event at servino in tiburon?
I have been to many parties at Servino's. It is a great place for a big gathering. There is a deck that people use to smoke, drink or just hang out and the view it really beautiful at night.
The food is very nice. Maybe you could sample some of the choices before you make a decision.
Nick's Cove in Marshall - Anyone been there recently?
We went there in December and yes the service was iffy. Our food was pretty good and of course the oysters were fabulous. It is a fun place to go because the drive is beautiful and the area is rustic. Maybe it is hard to get good servers way out there. Overall, we had a good time.
Paradise Hamburgers in Tiburon
Ok-yesterday I was in need a a big, juicy hamburger and I landed at Paradise Hamburgers in Tiburon. Man, did that hit the spot...fresh meat, very tasty. My friend had Chicken Divan and that was really good--check it out!!!!!

What kind of oil are you using that smelled when not in contact with food. Make sure your oil has a high enough smoke point to do the job well.
Sol Food - San Rafael
For casual dining Sol Food is very good. I have always enjoyed everything I have had there...of course their HOT sauce is great.
Sunday Brunch in Sausalito/Tiburon
Sam's is always fun...they updated the front bar a little...their fries are super Guymas is good-my favorite dish is the Camarones (Shrimp on rock salt)
Visiting SF ~ Slanted Door?
I think it is good and is a great place to take out of towners because the atmosphere is beautiful. The Ferry building is fun to stroll around.
Picco in Larkspur
I LOVE Picco. It is my favorite place in Marin. Yes, the slider's are great. Try ordering small plates and sharing-everything is very good. Try their fried items as well. The deserts are small but delicious!!
Vin Antico in San Rafael
We started off with a couple of nice salads and a small, thin crust pizza. I ordered the eggplant and it was not the typical breaded variety. It was baked with homemade mozzerella and a creamy marinara sauce. I really enjoyed it. My friend ordered cod and it was very tasty. Deserts were wonderful. The lemon cheescake was devine-lighter than usual. The chocolate desert was like a rich brownie on a biscotti-very pleasant.

Ok, I will answer my own question as I went to Vin Antico last night. It is a nice neighborhood place to go. I enjoyed it.

What brand of walnut oil should I buy?
I would only buy fresh oil-sometimes Marshall type places carry closeout type items. I only buy oils that show a readable expiration date. You don't want to use rancid oils.

my daughter likes rachel's yogurt very much-she will only eat natural or organic yogurts.
When good olive oil goes bad (or, What is the shelf life of various pantry items?)
Rancid olive oil is bad for you-it oxidizes in your system and creates free radicals-you want to kill free radical with antioxidants. Try to buy olive oil with a readable expiration date-maybe even buy local california brands.
Atkins diet? Yes or No?
I have been living the low carb life for 4 years and I swear by it. I went on the Fat Flush Plan-very similar to Atkins. I have lost weight very easily. When I do slip up a bit and eat more carbs I start gaining weight. I weigh every day and when I see that I am gaining weight I pull back on the carbs and I lose again. After the initial start of the program you get to add more fruits and veggies and it still works great.
Good quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO)--Recs?
I would suggest Frantoia, Mcevoy Ranch or California olive oils that are fresh. It is important to see if there is an expiration date because olive oil does not have a long shelf life and if it comes over from Italy or Tunsia you never know how old they are. I hardly ever cook with olive oil as heat is not very good for the oil. I mainly use it for finishing and salad dressings.

What bums me out about Wh is that they put sale prices on the shelf and if you look under the sale price you see the same price-this pisses me off.
Organic boxed cereal?
Most of the Kashi cereals are very good. I have not had any luck with Barbara's-most taste like cardboard.
What's the big deal with Girl Scout Cookies?
It is an old tradition that is kind of cool. I heard that they got rid of the trans fats but I'm not sure all of them are free of the dreaded fats. I have not seen any Girl Scouts in my neighborhood and i might buy some if they actually did eliminate the trans fats.
