i do not recommend kokiri. i don't know why anyone likes this place. it is dirty, the service is bad and food is so so.
PDX Portland in the vicinity of Lloyd Center - In search of delicious food
Hello. I will be in Portland during October. I will be taking 2 work colleagues out for a celebratory dinner. I am looking for delicious food and some fine wine or drink. The catch is that there may be 2 teenagers joining our small group and my colleagues are not super adventurous eaters... i am a super adventurous eater and want a great dining experience but seeing as how i am paying, i do not want to go overboard for a group that may not appreciate the quality of the food.
I was thinking about Feouil.
Any suggestions?
Affordable Japanese food in Pierce County
i know that lots of people recommend fujiya, but it is truly awful. i have been there 3 times - too expensive, mediocre quality, abysmal service. i would forget about japanese food in this area. we tend to go to akasaka - i think it is kind of dirty and poor freshness. koharu sushi is a place that friends of mine liked. i thought it was too expensive for what it was.
we did just go to shiros in seattle. totally worth it.

Lunch Recommendations in Seattle for Friday afternoon

Lunch Recommendations in Seattle for Friday afternoon
I have a friend coming in from out of town. I have a toddler and haven't been out for AGES. I need a good place to go for lunch for a leisurely, delicious lunch place. My friend needs good seafood. I'm looking for something tasty and a great, but not too loud ambience. We are all adventurous eaters. It doesn't have to be cheap but I don't want to go overboard. I have the following list so far:
Maximillian in the Market
Le Pichet
Matt's in the Market
Chez Shea
Fish Club at the Waterfront Marriot
What do you think? Thanks for your suggestions!
Breakfast in Federal Way
Poverty Bay - limited breakfast selection, pretty good coffee, community feel
Diamond Jims - diner food, ok prices, average food
It's greek to me - decent food, ok prices, nothing super special, only on weekends
On the greens - breakfast 7 days a week, ok service, we find weekday service is better than weekends.
then there are the chains, none of which i recommend...
auburn - sunbreak cafe - weekend breakfasts, ok, huge portions. i always feel kind of sick after eating there but people seem to think it is something special (there is almost always a line on the weekends).
