Need rec for delicious Japanese or sushi north of Seattle airport

My husband and I will be visiting the San Juan Islands next month. We'll be flying into Seattle on a weekday, and driving up to the ferry at Anacortes. We're looking for a sushi or Japanese restaurant for lunch, with high-quality and delicious food. We'd like comfortable seating and a relaxed atmosphere so we can take a little break between the flight and our driving. Ideally within about 45 min of the airport rather than up near the ferry, as I'll be hungry. We'd prefer not to deal with downtown Seattle traffic/parking, but are willing to do so if necessary for a relaxing and delicious meal at a gem. Thanks in advance for your help.

Where to get good german chocolate cake in San Diego, preferably N. County?

Thanks for all of the suggestions. I am in Carlsbad so will try Elizabethan Desserts, as we are headed that way this weekend.

Where to get good german chocolate cake in San Diego, preferably N. County?

Any suggestions on where to get a good German chocolate cake in San Diego, preferably North County? I am hoping for a bakery suggestion rather than Costco, Vons, etc. Thanks!

San Diego - Luc's Bistro

I went here for lunch yesterday based on these recommendations and I will be back again and again. Thanks Chowhounders! I had the tuna nicoise, which included perfectly cooked ahi, roasted red peppers, green beans, spring mix and balsamic vinaigrette, $10.50. My friend had the french onion soup, which he liked, and the chicken panini, which he raved about, particularly the inclusion of the roasted red peppers. The panini was $6.75 and includes salad or fries; he opted to pay an additional $1 to swap in sweet potato fries, which was a great choice, as he received a huge amount of them, meaning plenty for me! The service was outstanding, the prices are great, and the food is delicious. The owner said that so far they are doing pretty well for dinner and are also looking to increase their lunch traffic. I highly recommend Luc's Bistro.

May I wear jeans to Ame?

Thank you very much for your help. I will definitely not wear jeans (the ones I have look like picture Husky posted :))

May I wear jeans to Ame?

Is it ok to wear nice jeans to Ame or is it necessary to dress up more? Thank you.

Where to eat lunch near San Diego Zoo?

Any recommendations on where to eat lunch prior to an afternoon at the Zoo? We'll be having dinner at Market so don't want anything too heavy for lunch. We've already eaten at The Prado so we want to try something new. We like French, Italian, California, Japanese, Thai. Don't want Mexican. Thanks!

Where to eat lunch near Point Lobos State Reserve?

After hiking at Point Lobos for a few hours in the morning, where would be a nice place nearby to eat lunch before heading back up to Pacific Grove? We prefer casual healthy places. Thanks!

Lunch near the 56/Ted Williams Parkway?

What are some good lunch spots near the Camino Del Sur exit off of 56/Ted Williams Parkwayl? I'm willing to go as far as La Bastide but closer is good too. Looking more for places like La Bastide or other good sit down places rather than fast food.

Carlsbad restaurant advice needed for a gift

Siamese Basil in Encinitas has outstanding Thai food and is family friendly. They sell gift certificates. Highly recommend it! I prefer over Lotus Thai Bistro.

Encinitas tonight - rec's please

Siamese Basil a couple of blocks south on the same side of 101 as Gaffney's has the most delicious Thai food.

ANY PIZZA JOINTS DELIVER TO OLDE CARLSBAD

I believe Knockout Pizzeria delivers to Olde Carlsbad. They used to be really good, then they changed some things and aren't as good, although they are still definitely better than Papa John's or Pizza Hut.
