Must order at Spago - Lunch?

Not the most adventurous suggestion, but the Caesar salad comes with these little toast things that have the most amazing topping on them. YUM. YUM.

On the other hand, the pesto shrimp pizza was good, but not amazing - I would order something different next time.

Sacramento - Mac & Cheese

Anyone know where I can get some good Mac & Cheese in Sacramento?

I've tried the Jack's Urban Eats version and it was not that great. I found it really dry and reminiscent of the Kraft powered cheese kind.

Help! I'm going through withdrawals....

Thank you!

Great Mexican food - including a bunch of breakfast items (including Chilaquiles) - Yum! I highly recommend it - I have enjoyed the food and the service every time I have gone.

Best soup in LA area?

I'm wondering where the best places to get soup in the LA area are?

Also, I'm a big fan of both Matzo Ball soup and Pho, but since there are tons of other threads to read about where to find the best versions of them I'd like to limit this thread to where to find other types of soup (chicken noodle, brocolie cheese, potato, lentil, tortilla, etc!).

Thank you!

Christmas Day - open restaurants?

I'm looking for a restaurant that will be open on Christmas day....I'd like it to be:

Reasonably priced (less then $25 per person total)
Vege or Fish options for the 2 non-meat eaters
Located around Miracle Mile/Hollywood/Los Filez

Thank you for your help!

V-day dinner---for 3!

But Single's Awareness Day sounds like a lot of fun - and who cares if it is a busy night to go out? My friends and I went to Disneyland on Christmas Day...talk about busy! But we braved the crowds and we still had a blast. I say, go out and have fun! Don't let someone else talk you out of it!

Birthday Dinner Suggestion Needed for group of gay guys

I highly recommend Lala's Argentine Grill

7229 Melrose Ave
Los Angeles, CA 90046
(323) 934-6838

My friends and I went there recently for a birthday dinner (group of 8) and we had a wonderful experience. The prices were very reasonable (entrees were 9 - 15ish) and the food was fantastic. The service wasn't the best, but it also wasn't the worst and they didn't seem to care in the least that we are gay and not always discrete about it. Drinks were good - we got Mojitos, carafes of sangria, beers, etc. The restaurant is relatively large, so it tends to be a bit noisy, but we didn't have a problem with that. There were many large groups celebrating birthdays and the entire place seemed to be humming with excitement. Also - make sure to sample the empanadas for an appetizer and their yummmy deserts. Parking is kind of a pain, but I think they have valet and if you are willing to walk a block or two there is some street parking in the surrounding neighborhood (just make sure to read the signs!) Enjoy!

Birthday Brunch Recs?

I was wondering if you all might have some good ideas for where my family can go for a birthday, Sunday brunch?

We will be a group of 9 (including adult children, parents and grandparents) and we are looking for something nice (but not super super expensive). It can either be a buffet or not - no preference either way.

Mostly we are looking for somewhere with yummy food and a nice atmosphere where we can all relax and enjoy a nice meal. Any ideas are appreciated. Thank you for your help.
