I also had fond childhood memories of Farrell's (mid 70s/late 80s) and about two weeks ago, my boyfriend surprised me for my birthday by taking me to the one in Santa Clarita. It was so insanely fun because it was so similar to the memories, including, you will be happy to know, The Trough (which comes with the staff coaxing anyone who dares to order the mountain of ice cream to repeat after them, "I am a piggy"...the inspiration for the scene in Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure when Napoleon orders the Ziggy Piggy). It was a spectacle and SO much fun! We couldn’t stop laughing.
