Better off that you didn't end up at Vox....last time my husband and I had dinner there, EVERY morsel of food tasted as if it had been rolled in salt...awful. |

TOP NY Capital Region-Albany, Schenectady, Saratoga, Troy Was in Saratoga last weekend....had dinner Friday night at a great place called The Wine Bar....food was excellent....you can order small plates and share or order regular sized portions....very nice wine selection too. Service was great as was the atmosphere...sit in window if possible for a nice view of the town. |
Lusardi's in Larchmont...on a Saturday, you can take over the restaurant.....what about The Rye Town Hilton or The Ritz Carlton in White Plains? |
New Japanese in Mamaroneck...and Haiku! Red Plum is now open for business...it is owned by Lum Yen. |

where can i buy really good lox and appetizing near rye? The Hartsdale Cheesery on East Hartsdale Ave. next to the Hartsdale train station has excellent lox and nova....ask them to slice it thin...almost as good as Zabar's and they have a great selection of cream cheeses. You also MUST try their brie with sundried tomato and pesto...WOW! Whatever you do though, their bagels are horrible....go elsewhere for great bagels. |

Any tips for a Babbo first timer? You've made a great choice....the food is phenomenal. We go frequently as in once a month and have never been disappointed. The pasta tasting is fabulous for your first time there. But everyone has to participate. You might be better off ordering a pasta or two to share. Especially the one with the half lobster on top. You will never have better lamb chops, skirt steak or branzino anywhere either. Too bad you can't order one of everything. We were there on 5/28 and they had soft shell crabs as one of the specials....the best ever!! As for the wine, order quartinos...this way you get to sample a few. Bon appetito!! |

need birthday restaurant suggestion And Porterhouse has a great atmosphere....Artisinal and Union Square are always so loud. |
need birthday restaurant suggestion For meat, Porterhouse has it way over Artisinal unless you're looking for noise and snooty service!! And you can get steak frites that is far better at other places, including Les Halles....and as for Union Square Cafe, it's so done!! Except for their calamari!! And it's always the same old. |

Seeking divine culinary experience that won't break my wallet--help! Head to Bouley!! |

Worst restaurants in Westchester The recently opened Antipasti in White Plains leaves a lot to be desired...like an overpriced diner!! Food is really lacking. |
Craving Good Thin Crust Pizza in Westchester Johnny's in Mount Vernon is the absolute best and thinnest. |
Larchmont Eateries - Improving Selection Go to Encore or Lusardi's. Turquoise is good too. |
The problem with Willett House is the snooty service...no one treats me that way for my money. |
Best Slices of Pizza - Westchester The best slice is Sal's in Mamaroneck. |
Tollgate Steakhouse on the Boston Post Road in Mamaroneck is as good as it gets....fine prime meats, great wine list, superb sides and the best steak sauce you've ever had....better than Peter Luger's steak sauce....they give you a dish of it to dip the bread in!! |

Went for lunch there with a friend on Wednesday, March 19th, 2008. The first turn off is that there is no valet parking at lunch, so we had to park our cars in a dark municipal lot and walk in the pouring rain. Lunch was nothing special at all...I make a better caesar salad at home and the vegetable assortment we ordered from the antipasti menu all tasted the same...very bland dry breading on the cauliflower and zucchini, The eggplant rollatini was also blase as were the stuffed mushrooms...felt like eating in an overpriced diner, although the food at City Limits is far better! Don't waste the gas to get there....too many good restaurants in Westchester, especially good Italian ones!! |

Restaurant Week - never again. I have truly enjoyed this winter's RW. Have found some great new treasures such as The Post House and Butter on Lafayette which is excellent. They aren't normally open for lunch but did lunch and dinner for RW... the setting is amazing as is the service and food. Restaurants like Butter are a pleasure to go back to. Don't give up just because of Thalassa, which I'd never try now!! |
