Luzzo's Coal Oven Pizza - Westbury
Luzzo's I have to say that I was disappointed by this stop. For some reason a simple Margherita Piizza is trashed by a high price. The prices are at the level of when you visit New York CIty and go out for dinner. Crazy, the 12 inch is a disgrace at the price.
I would not suggest anyone even stop . Go to Grimaldies consistent and reasonable.
Even better go to Massa Pizza in Huntington
REVIEW: Angelo's Coal Oven Pizza
While I live on Long Island I have to say that I found Angelo's disappointing.
The crust of a well made Coal Pizza should arive blistered and charred. The crust should be thin and when you pick up the slice it should crunch. None of these qualifications were met on my visit. My first warning should have been the twin little loaves of bread in the basket. I think wounder bread baked them, italian is semolina.
