I took wife & my 2 kids here last Sat night & we were pleasantly surprised. We live in River Vale & while we went to Daniel a few times it was just OK & service always took very long.
Happy Days was much different - very good, quick service & all of us enjoyed our meals.
We will be back.
What's New in and around Ocean City?
We also deeply miss Dixie Picnic - we spent everyday having their box lunches & upcakes on the beach.
We have always enjoyed Periwinkles - if you havent been, I suggest you try it

Looking for brunch place to hold private party in Northern NJ.
Approx 40 people.
Budget - $35 pp max.
Casual fresh simple fish near River Vale / Westwood NJ
Looking for a good casual fresh simple fish place to take the family to.
We have been to Bonefish & it was OK, but pricey for what it was.
When we lived in the Fort Lee area we used to go to Crab House in Cliffside Park (not the horrible chain in Edgewater), but it was just OK & is now closed.
Anyone have anything to recommend?

Brunch at Half Moon in Dobbs
Price was very reasonable - we were pleasantly surprised - as far as kids menu I think there was 1 but not positive - my daughter is 8 so may have ordered off regular menu

Just wanted to post a good experience.
Decided to stay in for Fathers day last night & called in order to Jim Dandy.
5 Adults - we had Baby back ribs & chicken sandwich & onion rings.
Delicious, simple meal - everyone was happy & very reasonably priced.
Much more relaxing then going out on Fathers Day.
With the economy being what it is & seeing lots of places empty & suffering - just thought I would post something nice in hopes the place stays in business.

I must say I live somewhat nearby & have been 4-5 times, with large family groups & always had good food & service.
We find it a nice addition to the neighborhood.
Owner has always come by & checked on us & seemed nice enough

Great brunch in lower Westchester - where?
We have gone to Harvest, in Dobbs Ferry a few times recently for brunch & love it.
We also bring along my 8 year old daughter & 6 month old son no problem.
Excellent pancakes - great view - very reasonably priced for a fancier place.
It is in Dobbs Ferry on the Water in what used to be Chart House

Just wanted to post about this place I read about on another posting for eating in Orangeburg.
My wife, 7 year old daughter & I had lunch there over the weekend.
The place is really cute & the help is super nice.
Great menu - sandwiches, salads, etc - everything sounds home-made.
I had the wings - they were described in the online menu as "Scruffy Duffy" wings, which is a now closed famous NYC wing destination I used to love. The in-house menu had no mention of Scruffy Duffy's but I ordered them anyway - they were awsome, among the best I have ever had.
Wife & daughter had simple burgers which they said were delicious.
For desert we shared 2 brownies. These were so delicious, rich & choclatey.
Nice place - very reasonable prices - nice people - we will be back to sample more.

Has anyone been to the Bicycle Club?
Family members went yesterday & said while the room is very nice, the food good, but prices much steeper than before & menu looks just like JD's did.
Also mentioned everything is ala carte ie salad etc
They said they would be hard pressed to go back at these prices.

Just wanted to put up this small review.
I just moved to this area a few months ago & we tried Paulies Fri 11/14.
It was me, wife, in laws, 8 year old daughter & new baby.
When we arrived about 6:00 pm - place looked packed, lot was practically full - we almost didnt go in to check how long the wait was but glad we did.
Turns out there was no wait, they have a huge happy hour crowd in another area.
Lots of couples & families with kids.
The menu is really varied, you could get almost anything - all of us were happy with choices.
Service good - we all enjoyed our meals & prices were very reasonable.
Owner came over & introduced himself - very nice.
Good experience & glad to have it in our hood.

I just moved a few weeks ago from Englewood Cliffs to River Vale.
Looking for recommendations in River Vale, Westwood & other neighboring areas.

Fulton Crab House in Cliffside Park, NJ?
It is indeed closed - last time we were there a few months ago the owner told us he is losing lease as they are shutting down that whole area of town to make a CITY PLACE type shopping district.
We went there quite a few times but it really wasnt great.
I would love to know of something similar, BUT, better in the area if anyone has any suggestions.
Coffee Dessert place near Englewood Cliffs, NJ
My wife & I usually go out without the kid Saturday nights.
Usually dinner or movie etc
When we are done we usually have trouble finding a place to go for coffee & maybe dessert.
One week we went to Cafe Angelique in Tenafly - good coffee - rude service, ice cold room & stale canoli
Last week we went to Kudo Beans in Fort Lee - good coffee, good service, stale pecan pie & we were the only caucasians in the place (not a big deal).
Anyone have any similar BUT better ideas
We live in Englewood Cliffs, but will travel some.
