I need about 2 pounds of tripe for a recipe and will be in Manchester. Best market to locate some?

The Sugar Hill Inn is the best fine dining in the area. Great 5 course pre frixe menu with amuse bouche but wine list was a little sparse last time we ate there. Polly"s Pancake Parlor is a must. Wendles in Franconia would be a lunch option. I would avoid The Dutch Treat and The Sunset Hill Inn.

As a rule i avoid any "mexican" restaurant with the word Nacho in the name as strongly as i avoid seafood restaurants starting with the word "Captain".

Woodstock Station: good beer but food?.... Pack a lunch.

Carrots, Beets and Cilantro makes a nice blended juice.

The Era of New England's Grande Dame Resorts is fading fast. In the last three years The Balsams, Mt. Washington, and The Mountain View Grand have all been sold to large out of area corporations. All three have seem to be struggling.
The Wentworth by the Sea has recent new ownership as well, Marriott Hotels.

If you want non resort food try Cold Mountain Cafe in Bethlehem or Faden's BBQ in Littleton.

Moved back to New Hampshire after eleven years in Colorado and missing my favorite mexican soup.
