for a different atmosphere, try Bukowski's or the Other Side Cafe. (both sort of grungy, but reliable.)

so sick of Boston bashing...
excellent Vietnamese food for cheap. just about any hole in the wall in Chinatown has a much better pho than every one but a few in New York (and those only in Elmhurst, Queens, where no one ever goes).

Boca Grande in Kenmore Square
the thing about Anna's is the cheese. they put a big slab of cheese on the tortilla before they heat it up and add all the toppings. everywhere else, you get nasty shredded cheese that's still cold when you're eating it.
