authentic cheese curds in phoenix area The package says cured, smoked and fully cooked. The guy at the meat shop explained to me that it has something to do with the laws in Arizona. At that point I decided not to buy it from the meat shop. Come to find out that Petit Fromage is selling the same product. When I told her what the meat shop guy said she insisted that it was the real thing and that he didn't know his product. I could've lived with this as I'd never had it before and didn't really know. But then she gave me smoke pancetta....isn't that just basically bacon. at least the meal wasn't totally ruined. But I would be cautious of buying from there again. |

authentic cheese curds in phoenix area Looks like a great place for cheese but I would be cautious of buying meat from Petit Fromage. She sold me smoked pancetta with out even mentioning it and Guanciale from the meat shop; which even they admit is not cooked in the traditional way. Although both meats were good...they were not what I wanted. Just a word of caution! |

Aiello's on Central is now selling pizza out the "back door" It's actually a pizza window behind the restaurant. They have misters and a few tables for waiting. They are only doing 50 pies per night. I had one on Tuesday and thought it was great; A real NY style pie. Here's a link to a picture I took |

Guiseppe's on 28th or Pasta Brioni? Trust me....neither place would be MY choice. Anyway...we ended up at a place called Uncle Sal's...again not MY choice...but we had a great time which in the end is all that matters :-) |

I've never been to either and since I know they are both way different than my favorite Marcellino's not sure which one to go with. HELP! |

New "Twilight Farmers Market" in Glendale AZ I was told that they will be back starting Oct 7th. Looking forward to it. I stocked up on butter from Divine and Jam from Aunt Rosie's too. Just an FYI...Aunt Rosie's also sells at the Roadrunner market. Divine butter is available all the time at AJ's for .50 more than the market. |

A16 recipe braised pork w/ chestnuts & olives Has anyone made the braised pork with chestnuts and olives from the A16 cookbook? If so I'm wondering how you served it? It suggests serving it in bowls...is it a stand alone meat or does it need to be over pasta or bread? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks |

Anniversary Celebration on a Sunday? (PHX) Prado has improved very much. I liked it the first time but absolutely loved it the 2nd time. the lamb t-bone was awesome. and you can't beat the atmosphere. |

Romantic Italian restaurant in Las Vegas I second Circo. You can request one of the half moon tables near the window and you'll be able to enjoy the fountains as you dine. |

Looking for a truly authentic Italian restaurant (Scottsdale, AZ) Andreoli's and Marcellino's would be my top 2 picks. two totally different types of place but both have equally good Italian food. I can't imagine you'd be disappointed with either one. |

Marcellino Ristorante in Phoenix Glad you guys enjoyed it. I got an email from them today about tonight being the last Friday opera night. It seems the singer has been offered a job on the East coast.. Sad for us. |
