Diner bread pudding

The bread pudding at Blue Ribbon is outstanding!
They usually have 2 different kinds so if you're having a hard time deciding you can get 1/2 & 1/2. The portion is more than generous so it can easily be shared, and of course they have a liquor license. Their fried chicken is wonderful too.

Need an interesting restaurant for special occasion

I'm a huge fan of the Bistro's in Paris like L'Ami Jean or Comptoire. Looking for a restaurant in Manhattan or even Brooklyn where I can get food like I do in Paris. Interesting combinations that are prepared with amazing perfection. Price range between $30-$40 for entrees, if less that's great. Balthazar is wonderful, but their fare is very standard. Craving something more interesting.
Help!

Help for Sunday Dinner

I'll be in Paris the end of February for 1 week. Have all my reservations in place except for Sunday night. Staying in the 7th but know my way around the Metro. Would like suggestions for moderate to inexpensive restaurants that are opened for dinner.
All ready booked L'ami Jean, Chez Dumont, Beurre Noisette, Afaria, La Baratin, Le Bistro Paul Bert.
Thanks!

Montreal for 3 days

I'm a foodie from NYC who'll be in Montreal for 3 days and need restaurant suggestions that are in the moderate price range. I'll be going to Au Pied de Cochon one night. Staying in the St. Denis (University) area but I'll have a car so I'm not limited to that neighborhood, but it's always nice not to drive.

L'ami Jean fixed price

I heard l'ami Jean has stopped offering their fixed price menu for both lunch and dinner. Can anyone tell me if this is true and if so is it lunch or dinner that's still fixed price and what's the cost.

Some Momofuku Q's

Only been to Noodle Bar and love it. If you don't mind a long wait you can go for dinner. If you hate to wait go at off hours like 2pm-5:30pm. Great buzz about the place and worth the wait. The "Mamofuku Ramen Noddle" dish is spectacular.

Tendga in Milford??

There's one where I live in Westchester County, NY. It's surprisingly good. Definitely give it a try.

48 hours in Newport

I'll be going to Newport, RI at the end of May for 2 days. Can anyone recommend places to eat. Nothing too expensive. Love all kinds of food.

Don Pepe's in Queens

Has anyone been to Don Pepe's restaurant near JFK lately. Planning a family get together and this restaurant was recommended. Is the food good?

Tom Valenti's New Restaurant

Has anyone been to Tom Valenti's new restaurant on Broadway in the 70"s? If so let me know what you thought.

Three days in Philly

I'll be in Phily for 3 days at the end of December. Would like recommendations for inexpensive restaurants. Love all types of food. The more interesting the better.

Cheese help please

Burrratta is probably what you're looking for. It's highly perishable so you won't find it in too many shops. It's imported from Italy & meant to be eaten within 48 hours of production. There is a company in Wisconson that makes it too. It's good but not as good as the Italian version. Try Zabar's, Dean & Deluca or Murray's, all in NYC. I'd call first to see if they carry it.

Best tapas in New York ???

Cafe Riazor 245 W 16th Street! This place has been there for over 25 years. Wonderful Tapas and an atmosphere that will take you back in time.

Les Halles - Downtown or Park Ave?

I second that. I've never been to the one downtown, but the Park Ave. location is very good.

Best Pastrami Sandwich

After the Second Avenue Deli closed I started going to Fine & Shapiro on the upper West Side. I was very surprised by the quality of the corned beef & pastrami! You never hear about this old deli but it was far better than 2nd Ave. Deli or Katz's. This Sunday I went back to 2nd. Avenue Deli in their new location. The food was as I remembered it, not great. What they do have is atmosphere. Nothing else. If you want a great sandwich go to "Fine & Shapiro"
