Breakfast Recommendation

The Original Pancake House on Parmer-yummy! Delicious buttermilk pancakes, eggs cooked exactly as ordered, above average sausage. Couldn't eat for the rest of the day! Good service, freshly squeezed orange juice, hot coffee-what more could you want? A good step above IHOP. If you're looking for a resonably priced breakfast and don't want to wait at hour (like at Magnolia or Z Tejas), this is a good old-fashioned pancake house (originated in Oregon I believe). A pleasant addition to the Austin breakfast scene. Looking forward to the one opening in South Austin.

Best BBQ in town

A couple of recs-The County Line on the Lake at 2222 and Rudy's-various locations-I think there's one on Research Blvd. (aka 183). If you have a car and want some authentic atmosphere you can't go wrong with the Salt Lick (far southwest Austin but a nice drive in the country-BYOB).
