Reasonable French?

Sorry, typo, yes, Bistro Bis. Thanks! We're leaning toward Bis over La Chaumiere.

Reasonable French?

My brother, a chef, is coming into town to check out some of DC's food. We're looking for a reasonably-priced classic French restaurant and have it narrowed down to Montmartre, La Chaumiere, and Bistro Bic. Can anyone advise between these? Thanks!

Romantic Dinner Between Downtown and Meatpacking?

Am having cocktails in Lower Manhattan along the Hudson and seeing some music in Meatpacking on Friday night, and am looking for a romantic but not crazy-expensive place for dinner to celebrate an anniversary in between the two. Any good suggestions? Thanks!

New Yorker Seeking West Texas Recs

I'll be driving from El Paso to Big Bend National Park next week and am seeking recs on good places to stop for lunch/dinner along the way (roughly speaking, I-10 to 90 to 385, though I'm willing to go somewhat out of my way for something special). I've never been to Texas and so any local/regional specialties would be ideal. Thanks!

5 People for EV Wed Night Dinner?

I'm looking for a place that I can take 5 people for a relatively modestly priced dinner where we can sit and eat and drink in the East Village tonight -- can anyone recommend a place that would be able to fit 5 in? Thanks!

Exploring Carroll Gardens: Where to Go?

Wow, that is definitely more than I'd ever want to know. Thanks!

Exploring Carroll Gardens: Where to Go?

So I'm making the trek from Mahattan out to Carroll Gardens this weekend to do some quality house/dogsitting for a couple of days. Not incredibly familiar with the area -- would really appreciate some recommendations for some relatively inexpensive places to check out; if they're potentially good for solo dining that'd be a plus. What are some of your favorite places? Thanks!

Spicy Mina's Vegetarian-Friendly??

Can anyone advise as to how vegetarian-friendly Spicy Mina's is? At least a few interesting items on the menu?

Thanks,

Better dosas: Saravanaas or Chennai Garden?

Looking to do some dosa-centric southern Indian brunch on Sunday, have heard the former is excellent overall but the latter could have potentially better dosas? Thanks!
