Kid Friendly near cirque du soleil Seaport
The last time we attended Cirque, we had a party with 12 kids under 8 and 10 adults. We expect a similar size party. At the time Legal Sea Food's had a temporary restaurant near the ICA that was just perfect. Outdoors, place for the kids to run off their energy. Music for all of us to dance. We all had a great time. Anyone have any ideas for a later night family friendly place?

Seven Star Street Bistro
I did a catered event from here. No sticker shock here, the amounts were generous and our group declared it the best Chinese they had had in the area. As ours was large scale take-out I am looking forward to going to the restaurant and eating in.... I don't think take-out is a fair trial of chinese. Will try and eat there next week and post a review.

I also use the Kitchenetics rack. Have been looking and looking for this. Mine is slowing down and I am afraid worn out after 10 years... I would buy two more in a minute!
A Taco Truck in Downeast Maine!?
Thanks so much for this tip. We dropped in this week (it is in an old handpainted bus). Would never have found this place one block off the main drag and would never have thought to try Mexican in Maine. They have now opened a single porch room of what might be their house. It was cool (no heat) but dry since we had 4 days of rain. The Burritos were great along with the carnitas I had. The chicken Tamale for $1.50 was spicy in a good well textured dough. We wanted to go back but didn't make it. Wish they had fish taco's. Had printed out this web page as a resource while on our trip and left it with them. They were delighted people liked their food.

Critique my quick trip to downeast Maine, and I need help on the way, especially late night in Manchester!
Our favorite place in acadia is schoodic point. My father for his 80th birthday had always dreamed of watching the sun rise the first place in the US. This requires a very early rise to go up mount cadillac to watch the sun come out of the water..but it was worth it. We packed muffins from a small local bakery for our sunrise breakfast and it was surprising how many people were there for the samething. I don't know if its open yet, but the Jordan Pond House in the Main Park is a nice stop and experience and servies tea and popovers. .They have a web site.

???? re Nordic Ware "fancy" cake molds--have you used them?
I have the tree cake, made several of them and have not had problems if I carefully greased it and used wondra flour. I have also used Bakers Secret (the flour) spray successfully. I also have many of the two sided pans (Turkey and Rabbit). Just haven't had any problems. Cooks Illustrated did a check on the platimum series and gave it a thumbs up....
March openings and closings
It may seem like BS but god bless the fire departments who protect us from combustible materials (remember The Station fire in RI). Some Vinyls are flamable but most often its the foam which the vinyl covers which is combustible and even can give off poison gases. Furniture for places of assembly (restaurants included) are required to have certificates. You have to turn these in before you open....

I agree with Scampo. We did this before the holidays when visiting a friend at MGH. We parked in the garage at MGH and it was a one block walk. Service was great and food was even better...
Lunch near Legacy Place?
I think 50's Cafe only takes cash but the food was good and its the best around for breakfast. Plan to wait in line.
There is also five guys burger (a chain I know) but it makes a great burger...in a plaza next to teh stop and shop in Dedham.
What to buy at Stonewall Kitchen
Farmhouse Chutney... Make sure you pick up recipe cards for the things you like. They have bowls set up for tasting.. Loved my cooking class there..
They have an outlet store in Rochester?, NH. About half an hour from the store in York. Sometimes its crooked labels, sometimes it will say use before...., sometimes it will say too much fruit.... They are always very good buys...

Quiet Restaurant with Great Food
Some great ideas. Even I have to admit the current rage for lively noise is often too much for me. Restaurants should consider having "a quiet" area with no music and a little quieter for those of us who prefer that. Will let you know what he picks. I would lean toward Locke-obers....love Lydia's food.
Inexpensive wedding cake or wedding cupcakes
Friend of mine had Konditermeister do one cake layer as a wedding cake and she just bought lots of other cakes, made little lables and put them on a beautiful cake stands which she bought at Christmas Tree Shop... She did wedding for 200 for less than your budget and it was fun and very pretty.
