daytona beach- The Swiss Cake Factory
My wife and I found a great place- The Swiss Cake Factory- on Nova. Its a bakery but does serve dinner and lunch. We had the best Cuban sandwich- you do wait for a bit so its best to call ahead and order. The Cuban sandwich was made fresh and you can watch them cut the meat and prepare it. The sandwich is more than enough for two people for lunch- first time out we both ordered one each and were stuffed :) We are looking forward to going back again soon. They have all types of cakes and treats-too
Ormond Beach - local places
we did try Billys Tap Room- with mixed results- the service was fine- we waited for our meal (about 30 min) but were not in a rush. When the meal arrived I had ordered scallops in wine- which arrived luke warm at best, vegtables - carrots hard as a rock and again warm. My son ordered the prime rib- med- it came in rare with meat being mushy. I know every place has an off night perhaps this was one of those off nites- dinner for three $108 without tip.

We are looking for a really good Italian restaurant near the Vet Theater for a Saturday night early dinner. I heard that there was a great Italian place near the railroad station - and would appreciate information on any good places in that area.

Vesuvios Restaurant Belmar
Food has slipped- pies come out hard with burnt crust. We used to go every Friday nite for dinner or pies- I think the chef has lost his interest in food- and leaves the prep to the unskilled. The only thing we would recommend is the JIM Salad.
Crabs in NJ??
I usually go to Aherns in waretown. They have great salads too - all take out - also the owner is friendly and wants to please his customers

Fresh seafood - Rehoboth/Dewey
If you enjoy a local place with great service- I would suggest Lazy Susans right down from the discount malls- crabs are their thing but they serve great seafood soups too.
Lobster dinner at the shore near Belmar?
I would like to take my wife out for a nice lobster dinner. We are located near Belmar but will travel to have a great meal. It seems many places along the shore this season have poor service, small portions and high prices- Any suggestions for a nice place- (casual dining)
