Strangest Starbucks Drink?
Heavy Whipping cream in place of milk = probably someone who eats low carb (assuming it was a sugar free drink).
Eating low carb at chain restos
It's amazing to me how many restaurants don't offer vegetable choices outside a side salad or maybe the awful 'mixed seasonal veggies' that are usually half cooked.
Ruby Tuesday has never been a favorite, but I'm more impressed by them now because of the variety of vegetables they offer + the salad bar.
Favorite Sonic Drinks?
Before I quit sugar, I was fond of Coke with double vanilla. I was getting that long before Coke came out with their vanilla variety, and it's sooooo much better.
Shamrock Shake 2010
It probably does depend on timing. I did a quick google, and found this blog posted yesterday where the writer found the mint flavor lacking.

I've never had one myself so I wouldn't have anything to compare to.
Jersey Mike's -- Yays, Nays, and Best Subs
First time I ate at Jersey Mike's I ordered the Chipotle Cheesesteak and liked it so much that's all I've ordered there since.
LongHorn Steakhouse coming to North Haven, CT- Worth getting excited about?
My husband loves the Wild West Shrimp appetizer.
Bonefish Grill
The only time I've been, I had steak, which was decent. I'm not fond of seafood, but ended up there due to the company I was with.
I know a lot of people who swear that their Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer is amazing though.
Moe's Southwest
I've only eaten at Moe's once, but I asked for no rice and they had no problems leaving it off.
We don't have a Chipolte in my area, unfortunately.
non chain, orlando fast food
It's been 11 years since I moved away and I still miss that place.
Publix
Their bakery has the best sugar cookies I've ever had... I'd love to find a copycat recipe!
Quizno's Torpedos
My husband doesn't like toasted bread so he always requests his sub cold and has never had a problem getting it.
Holy Carbs! Domino's Breadbowl Pasta
You can order them without the bread bowl and end up getting more pasta. I have a relative that works for them, and he'd had them a few times since the product arrived but never used the bread bowl after the first time.
Getting a Popeye's near my office...recommendations?
I do have to add that I'm not really fond of their biscuits, but it appears I'm in the minority on that. I just find them pretty dry, and would rather eat another serving of chicken or red beans!
Getting a Popeye's near my office...recommendations?
This is one of the few cases where I prefer a chain over local offerings. The local fried chicken I've had has had one consistent quality - bland! And this is in NW Florida (which is often referred to as lower Alabama) Living in a small town does limit my options though. Heck we still have to drive to the next town for Popeyes even.
Getting a Popeye's near my office...recommendations?
Their red beans & rice one of my favorite fast food items (and there isn't much on that list).
If you order the fried chicken, get it spicy.
Free Sub at Quiznos..
That's why I have a 'junk' email address at Gmail that I use for stuff like this - I just empty it out every couple of weeks and keep my really email for the important things.
TGI Fridays
All I can recommend is that if you find something you do like, don't get attached. Everytime I find something I like, it gets pulled off the menu.
What else are we missing at McDonald's?
Have you tried asking to have a pie fried? As long as you are willing to wait the cook time, I don't see why they would refuse. Except the typical laziness of course.
Salad Works Restaurant
I just read a review for this chain in my local newspaper today, and I was considering giving it a shot... I'm definitely reconsidering that now after reading the responses!
Unfortunately none of the supermarkets that I know of have a salad bar anymore.
Pizzeria Del-Dio - Orlando
I moved up to the Panhandle in 1998 and I STILL miss his pizza and cheese steak subs!
lonestar steakhouse
Unfortunately Longhorn was acquired by Darden recently, so I expect quality to go downhill.
Ever Heard of a Restuarant that Does Not Use Salt in their Recipes? - Try PF Changs
I don't have any opinion on not using salt in their recipes - I rarely cook with salt myself, but I recognize that this is uncommon.
However it does seem odd that they wouldn't provide salt either on the table or on request if the customer desired to add it themselves.
What happened to my Firehouse sub?
My husband loves Firehouse but it don't care for them so much. I'd rather get a sub from the Publix grocery deli in the same shopping center. Their ham is honey ham and is much sweeter than what I'm used to from the deli counter and I just don't care for it. Their mayo also seems to be a bit sweet - perhaps they use that god awful miracle whip stuff?
What to order at Popeye's? [split from a discussion on the Boston board]
LOVE their red beans & rice and spicy chicken.
My favorite fast food breakfast is at
That's the only thing I'd eat at McDonalds too (minus the coffee) until recently when I against my better judgement tried a bite of a sausage mcgriddle and actually liked it.
I'm usually a bacon person rather than sausage so I tried the mcgriddle with bacon once it and it was just nasty. But something about sausage works with the rest of the flavors.
Orlando's Absolutely Best Pizza
It's been 9 years since I moved from the area and I still miss Del Dio's for both their pizza and their cheese steak sub.`
Why is Wendy's so much better?
Last time I visited you could no longer get the Big Back Classic, they replaced it with that Baconator monstrosity. This may have (hopefully) changed by now... I haven't had the desire to return after finding about the change.
Hardee's does it again -- The 920 calories, 60 grams of fat breakfast burrito ...
Pretty much but, you forgot the cheese sauce on top with the sour cream for extra heart attack goodness!
