Bacco OR Irene's ?

In everyone's opinion, which is more dimly lit and romantic ?

After Dinner Drinks...

Having dinner at Irene's a few satrudays from now and wondering what everyone's favorite after dinner drink spots are in or near the quarter...

Romantic Restaurants

Im looking for a romantic restaurant in the downtown or uptown areas...I want to avoid places that have that busy feeling like Emeril's and such. Im looking for a cozy spot with good lighting...

Ceviche

I adore the ceviche at RioMar...where else has everyone had ceviche in the city...including metarie, kenner, anywhere thats in driving distance....

Let us now praise Cochon.

AGREED !!!!
The wood fired oyster roast was the highlight of my night when i last went !!
Also, the jalapeno cala and the boucherie plate....

Lenten vegetarian

I happened to stop into Superior Grill on St Charles for a margarita and noticed they had a Lenten menu which consisted of a lot of fish dishes, ceviche, vegetarian fajitas and empanadas, and a seafood chili relleno ...there were several other dishes and appetizers as well....

Casual Lunch in the Heart of the Quarter

what are everyone's favorite lunch spots in the heart of the quarter?....reasonable prices rather than cheap prices....casual but not a dive.....I'm compiling a list for a group of out of town friends and wondering what i may have left out.....

Best French Onion Soup in Nola

I hear Le Crepe Nanou located uptown has a decent one. I've never ordered it though bc i always have the mussels and escargot which are great.

I'm interested to hear what everyone else says...Id love to know the answer myself !!!

Would you consider Napoleon House, Maison Dupuy or Louis 14th...

Napoleon House has a much coveted banquet room upstairs that is beautiful and classy to say the least. Very New Orleans feel, the apartments are available nightly. The coordiators are extremely helpful and personable...you cant go wrong....

Muffuletta Report

In my humble opinion there is no place on earth like Napoleon House, the atmosphere, the walls, the music, the rich history....I used to work as a tour guide for groups of traveling Sicilian chefs and they DEMAND Napoleon House muffulettas and would discuss them for hours. I cant say that i blame them...its the only heated muffuletta in the city and according to Sicilans, the olive salad is the best around.
