Awesome Non Toxic (Ceramic) Fry Pans !

Further to my previous posts. Cooked pancakes yesterday in my 8 inch Bialetti, they were awesome , slid right out of the pan, no sticking. Clean up was a breeze, 30 seconds, once over with the nylon nail brush and that's it. I have been cooking for half a century and this is the best pan I have ever used and reasonably priced as well. Going to get the larger pan this weekend.

Awesome Non Toxic (Ceramic) Fry Pans !

Bought the 8" one yesterday at Zeller's Thorncliffe Park, paid $19.99, don't think this was on sale , but decided to buy anyway. Used it today, it worked really well, eggs and sausage perfect, easy clean -up. I use a nylon nail brush and dish detergent. Lee Valley sell the nail-brushes, excellent quality. The notes that come with the pan say that it can be washed in the dishwasher. I would not recommend this , dishwasher detergent is very caustic, wash by hand as indicated above

Ciao Fabbrica

these prices are outrageous. I live within walking distance of this place, methinks it'll be gone within twelve months. McEwan going to come a cropper, this is Don Mills not Rosedale

Prairie Ink restaurant at new McNally Robinson bookstore?

Surprise they lasted as long as they did. Restaurant and Bookstore combined in TO , sorry, not going to work in . The Don Mills area is ground zero for retail, the demographics in this area, and I live here, are old and older, unless you're selling hearing aids or wheelchairs, forget it. McNally Robinson will be the first of many, whose next, McEwan

Ottawa Wedding Anniversary

Celebrated our W.A. at the Wellington Gastro Pub, fabulous place, divers scallops to die for, thoroughly recommended, although the A/C was a little too high for comfort. Also, Chez Lucien on Murray Street, went twice, great burgers and terrific atmosphere in the evening, a much better bet than the pseudo Irish pubs in the Market, finally , Manx pub on Elgin good food, but beer a little flat. And the winner is; Chez Lucien, the epitome of a good neighbourhood bar/bistro, don't miss it

Ottawa Wedding Anniversary

Thanks for your info, I think we'll celebrate our W A at the Wellington, not seen a bad review, thanks again

mcewan?

I live within walking distance of the new McEwan's, good luck to 'em I say, they're going to need it, the current Don Mills demographic is Tim's and McDonalds, forget the Bridle Path, there's not enough of 'em, as for people in Lawrence Park they don't shop in Don Mills. Until the new condos are built to the south of the shops, three to four years? This store will need some very deep pockets. As an afterthought, I buy my fish From Diane's Seafood just a short drive down Lawrence at Warden, why pay the mark-up

Going to Ottawa next week, any recommendations for dining out , no chains, thanks for your help

Windsor Arms- Winterlicious-Beware

Four of us dined last night at The Windsor Arms. Arrived at 5:40, finally left at 8:05. The waiter was right out of Fawlty Towers. Brought the wrong wine twice, got it right the third time. ordered a second bottle, only to be told they were out of stock, this was a wine listed as available by the glass at $10.00, as a bottle was listed at $35.00.perhaps they preferred to sell by the glass. Salad arrived with no dressing, we had to ask for the dressing. Main course arrived one hour after the starter. Whole thing was a fiasco. This was my first visit to the Windsor Arms in 20 years, needless to say, I will not be returning.
