Mission District Food Crawl
The Secret Breakfast at Humphrey Slocumbe can't be beat. And the donut bread pudding at Dynamo is pretty awesome.
Roadtrip late Sept. SF to Orick and back via 101 to 116 to 1 to Jenner, on up the coast
Luke's Joint on the Arcata plaza is casual and delicious.
Piacci Pizza in Fort Bragg is very good, with great beers on tap.
Los Bagels (Eureka and Arcata) can't be beat for a quick bite.

Haven't seen anything in the local press for several years.
Places worth eating on Hwy 5 from SF Bay Area north to Canada?
Billy Goat Tavern in Mt. Shasta City is very good for a quick sandwich and good beer.
CA-99 FROM TULARE TO LODI?
Great coffee at Serrano Social Club, on J St. in Modesto.
Best ice cream 2011
Finally got to Mr. & Mrs. Miscellaneous two weeks ago, and Its the best i've had. The Croquantino, Candied Violet, and Chicory Coffee were all phenomenal. I really enjoy both Bi-Rite and Humphry Slocombe, but this is my new fave.
East Bay restaurant supply stores
I'll be in Berkeley this weekend, looking at restaurant equipment/supplies, particularly for an ice cream shop. What are my best bets?
prepared foods at the Saturday Berkeley Farmer's Market
Looking for good prepared foods at the Saturday Berkeley Farmer's Market. What are my best options?
Beer in St. Louis?
Well, Schlafly's and Square One both look interesting to me.
Is there a good pub with a strong selection of local beers? Nothing on the explore St. Louis looked too promising.
Beer in St. Louis?
I'll be in STL next month, and am interested in good beer bars and breweries. My focus is on local/regional beers that I can't find in California. I'll be staying in Chesterfield, with a car, so I can get around a little.
Good pub in State College, Pa.?
I'm going to be in State College for a week, and would like to find a place with a good selection of East Coast micros. Not so interested in imports, and since i'm coming from California i'm particularly interested in stuff I can't get on this coast.
Mendocino or Ft Bragg Looking for help
Ate recently at La Petite Rive, and had an excellent meal.
Also, very good pizza at Piaci in FB.

Eureka, California — help!
Kate's is good. Kyoto is good for Japanese. Your best bet is Folie Douce in Arcata, or Moonstone Grill in Westhaven, just south of Trinidad.

Coast from San Fran to the Oregon Border - road trip food along the way?
I always go for al pastor, and I wasn't impressed by Alma's version.
Coast from San Fran to the Oregon Border - road trip food along the way?
There isn't a taco worth stopping for in Humboldt.
Driving down the 101 and 1 from OR
Perhaps "Giants" are better than "THE Dodgers", as this weekend series might indicate.
As for the post, stop for breakfast or lunch in Arcata; Luke's Joint and Cafe Brio, both on the plaza, are great.

Awesome Espresso & Coffee Modesto
I concur. The guys are definitely into their coffee.
The iced mocha is the best I've ever had, by a longshot.
Highway 101 north of Marin County
If you're near Arcata at lunchtime, Luke's Joint is fantastic. Great sandwiches and desserts.

Best beer bar in Portland, Or.?
Thanks for the info. Horsebrass sounds great. I'm open to brewpubs, but with a limited amount of time, I do also want to go someplace where I can get a good overview of the local beer scene, and Horsebrass will probably do that for me. Who's making the best beer in town? I tend towards the Strong Ales, Imperials, Belgian styles, etc...
Best beer bar in Portland, Or.?
I'll be in Portland for a few days soon, first time in 15 years. My favorite pub then was Bridgeport, which I plan to stop by again. What else is good? I'd particularly like a pub with a great selection of NW beers. Casks would be nice also. For reference, my favorite beer bar is Toronado in SF.
Newport/Lincoln City for Thanksgiving
We'll be in the area for a few days around Thanksgiving. Looking for good food, especially for Thanksgiving dinner.
Coffee and Snacky Food Tour with Dad
As long as you're in the Mission, check out Four Barrel Coffee and Dynamo Donuts. Humphrey Slocum and Dynamo are both closed on Mondays.
Curley's in Ferndale closing
Due to problems with the lease, Curley will be closing his restaurant at the end of the month. He is looking for a new location, but will no longer be in the Victorian Inn.
Food Life in Modesto
I eat at Concetta (J St. downtown) whenever I'm in town. Great tapas style plates, excellent beer and wine selection.
The taco trucks on 8th st. are my other can't miss stop.
Brewpub around Shasta/Redding?
I love the sandwiches here at Billy Goat, and the patio is a great place to relax and watch Mt.Shasta City go by.
Humboldt-Ferndale and Trinidad need recs
Moonstone Grill, just south of Trinidad in Westhaven, is probably the best place for seafood, and I find it better all around than Larrupin.
Curley's Grill in Ferndale is certainly worth a visit.
Anyplace to eat in Redding?
I'll be in Redding overnight next month. I did a search, and came up with every post with the word "red" in it. Very helpful.

Cafe in Modesto?
If you're just looking for a cafe, Queen Bean or Deva, both downtown, should work. Better than a chain.
