Restaurant Recommendation in Williamsburg

Not sure if I'm remembering the name correctly but I think it's called the Yellow Canary. It's across from the trellis. Also I have to agree that the Trellis is great also.

going from electric stove to gas

The microwave has an exhaust. Is that good enough. Sorry for being so nit picky but I just don't know. Also 48" (wow)!!! What I would do for that. Only if I hit the lottery. Thanks again in advance.

going from electric stove to gas

Thanks so much for the info. By hood to you mean exhaust? I have a microwave over the stove. Will that not work? I've also been told gas will cause sticky in the kitchen, is this true?

Le Creuset?

4 ovens, 3 braisers, a skillet and sauce pan, and I am starting to see pieces at Marshalls again and I want more. Don't know that I need them, but it makes me happy when I cook. It's just cheery. I guess your right, there are worse addictions.

All clad ss vs. Calphalon tri ply

ttriche,
thank you so much. You answered my question perfectly. I liked the way the calphalon feels better, but didn't know if it was as good because of the price.

All clad ss vs. Calphalon tri ply

What's the difference? I found the ac 12 inch fry pan for 135.00 and the calphalon for 89.00 at bb&b plus 20% off. HELP.. Not sure if it's worth the difference. I am just starting to purchase my first non-non stick.

Williams-Sonoma Cooking Classes

I know it may be too late for the Valentine class but I had to add my experiences at the William Sonoma class I attended last night. It was part of my Valentine present and we had to drive over an hour to the closest WS. We were told it was a meal included. The class itself was a JOKE. I could have tought the class. I did not learn a thing, we sit in folding chairs with clip boards and the glass of water they gave us, so that when they gave us our first dish(which was a couple thin strips of cucumbers in a seasoning) we had to put our glass in the floor. The second dish was a seared tuna over bagged lettuce with another sauce (very good). The kicker was that they gave us 3 skinny stripps of tuna while 2/3 of the tuna sat. then the entre which was pad thai (OK). Again we were served a miniscule serving while 2/3 of it sat on the counter. We were then told we could brouse around and get 10 percent off our purchase. As I broused I saw all of the WS help eating . I thought it was crazy. My husband and I payed 40.00 a person and watched someone else eat the food and I didn't learn a thing and felt like I was suppose to buy something. A tube of tomatoe paiste later I left and drove over an hour back home. I guess my answere to your question would be NO, it is not worth it.

Fresh herbs

In the summer I grow several herbs, but was wondering if they will grow inside without a lot of direct sunlight?

Take Home Chef

I absolutely love this show. I had no idea where the show was shot. I am also one of those that would love to be approached by him in the market. But seeing that I am in the middle of nowhere and shop mostly at the local walmart I don't think I'll be seeing him. Also I never understood the husband ALWAYS having a set time to be home. I never know when my dh will be home for dinner or if he'll show before the dishes are done.

kiwi le creuset

Shelleykelly
Thank you so much for the idea. I love it!!! Can't believe I didn't think of it. I have done this to the two windows on each side of my front door. I got tired of it so I took it down. I need to reaply. I hate when people ring the bell and think they can peak through.

kiwi le creuset

I know it's very frustrating, especially since I cut out and put glass in my Oak cabinet doors to display my le creuset and the colors are off. Not that anyone else would notice... but I do.

clad cookware

After purchasing several le creuset pieces and loving them I now feel the need for non stick pans and have been looking at all clad (VERY EXPENSIVE). Anyway I came across henkels version sold at cutlery and more and Target. Does anyone have experience with this? It is way cheeper. Or should I bite the bullet and go for all clad?

kiwi le creuset

I guess that's why I got such a good deal at Marshalls. But I am disappointed that it doesn't match.

kiwi le creuset

For those of you that purchase the kiwi color is it a solid color or does it start with a darker color at the bottom and shade to a lighter color? I purchased several pieces at Marshalls and assumed it was kiwi, (it's solid in color) then ordered a piece on line and it shades different colors of green.

ordering le creuset on line

Yes I received it with a 10% coupon off to ikitchens.com for my next order, and there more expensive to start with. Why would anyone order from what appears to be the same company and spend approximately 50.00 more? Maybe you would get the item faster. Not sure if I would want to order from them again. I was nervous the whole time waiting. Also there was no packing slip in the box. I've never ordered online and not gotten a slip. Hope you get yours soon.

Who has two stoves in there kitchen?

I purchased a very nice KA electric stove less than a year ago and now I am dying for a gas stove so my husband suggest running a gas line and purchasing a gas top. Does this sound tacky to have both.

ordering le creuset on line

I was finally able to reach a person and was told the item was just back in stock and it "should" ship out in a couple days. I've decided, if not by Thursday with today being Monday I will cancel. I am really nervous. It is 60.00 cheaper with this company. How do they do it???

ordering le creuset on line

My experience is pretty much the same. I ordered on Jan 10 and had no response so I called and was told it would be in stock in a few days. After waiting several more days I called several times and get only a machine that tosses me around. So, I emailed and asked what was the status, 2 days later I get an email from UPS. I waited a couple more days and contacted ups and was told they gave them a tracking # but have never been contacted to pick it up. With the price I don't mind the wait I just wish there was some communication. I'm assuming they are a good company!!!! Anyone know???
