Burrata cheese in OC?
We recently went to Barolo by the Sea on Balboa Island and tasted Burrata cheese for the first time. It was beyond fabulous. Where can I buy the rich, creamy kind of Burrata cheese in Orange County? I live near Irvine. I don't want just ANY kind; I'm looking for the BEST!

Tips and Tricks for Cooking Corn on the Cob?
My aunt taught me how to cook corn on the cob at a beach house they were renting one summer over 35 years ago and I've always remembered that night. She put 20 ears of corn in a huge pot, covered them with cold water and added about a teaspoon of sugar. It doesn't matter how many ears of corn you have. Obviously, adjust the sugar for fewer ears. Bring the water just to a boil (uncovered) and turn off the fire immediately. You can let them set there for a few minutes or a couple of hours. It works perfectly every time!
Bandera in Corona Del Mar--Fries??
We live just a couple of miles away from Bandera and go there often. Never had the fries there. I love their sliced lamb sandwich with roasted peppers and arrugula. The glossy roll that it is served on is just delicious. I know what you mean about the corn bread. In some of their salads, they have corn bread croutons made, of course, out of their house corn bread. We always sit at the bar for dinner. Always great service.
Cannaregio/Jewish ghetto area eats?

I totally agree with going to Bluefin. I've not had the Omakase but I usually order their daily specials on the white board.
Claro Market Rec's?
Their sweet Italian sausage is the BEST. You can buy it by the link or I think they have a 3 or 5 lb bag. If you like Italian cookies, they have a wonderful variety and are very good, too. I have the recipe for their Italian dressing if you'd like it.
Lunch on Lido?
We plan to rent bikes next month for a few hours on Lido Isle and would like a recommendation for a nice lunch. Any good ideas? Thanks.
San Gimignano
Enjoy! I have made this recipe for years and it is always a hit. It makes a nice presentation for a bridal or baby shower, too. Let me know how you like it!
PICKLED EGGS
3 cups apple cider vinegar
2 cups water
2 tsp sugar
2 tsp salt
1 tsp seasoned salt
4 Tbsp tobasco sauce
1 small can hot peppers
1 medium yellow onion, sliced thin
1 can sliced beets
1/4 cup dry sherry
2 or 3 bay leaves
2 dozen hard boiled eggs, shelled
Combine all ingredients in a large glass jar and let sit for 3-4 days refrigerated before serving.
Bluefin, Lucca's or Bistango for Anniversary Dinner?
How about Bluefin for dinner (hands down, the best for food of your 3 choices) and then go afterwards for an after dinner drink and dancing to Bistango? I love Lucca's but it doesn't seem very anniversaryish. Go to Lucca's for Saturday or Sunday brunch. They have the closest thing to the REAL coffee they serve in Italy.

Any good recommendations for a good lunch? What should we do there for the day? We will be on a cruise ship docked there on a Wednesday from 8:00am - 5:00pm and would rather not do an excursion offered by the cruise company. Thank you for any recommendations!
