Crusty bread (or regular bread) in NYC

I just bought a loaf of sourdough at Chiffon's it's pretty good, (just crisp it up a bit first in the oven) drizzle on some evo and you're good to go...
however, it's no tribeca oven sour dough, which was imo is the best bread ever. I think tribeca oven got to greedy by going par baked, and killed the goose that laid the golden egg. (or boule)

Best Kosher Supermarket in Brooklyn, NY?

I’ve adopted a wait and see approach on KDS new expansion on Coney Island ave between K&L, although if it’s anything like its previous carnation, then it is to be avoided at all costs, a horrid Meat section, wilted, over priced fruits and veggies.
I strongly recommend Friedman’s on thirteenth ave.

Anyone been to Solo lately? I know the Executive chef and sous chef quit a few months ago , so I wonder if the quality of the food went south.

Phenomenal Kosher Pizza? Does it Exist?

As a world renown expert on kosher pizza, (in my opinion) I herby delcare that pizza time is the best kosher pizza. Before you protest, let me say this, Pizza Time is owned and operated by an Italian family. (with a jewish partner) Before it became kosher, it was a non kosher pizza store operated by the same family. Now, walk inside pizza time, you see that old man sitting at the table? that is the patriarch of the family. Strike up a conversation with the gent, and hear the heavy italian accent spill forth like grappa. You see the serious looking, shaved headed fellow kneading dough behind the counter? that is one of the sons, HE makes the pizza, not pedro at the other pizza places you go to. Look how he concentrates as he puts the San Marzano tomatos through the food mill to make sauce. And your way to work in the morning, you see the van parked in front of pizza time, unloading boxes of cheese? that comes from a small cheese manufacturer in California, the cheese is NOT Haolam or Millers whose owner probably couldn't tell Mozzerella from a matzah.
I ask you now, which is the place you will crown as the best kosher Pizza? I rest my case, confident that the jury on this panel will choose wisely.

Taam Tov, Great NY Times review

Anybody been there? I called up to ask what hechsher they have, they told me it's under Rabbi Nisannov ? but the meat they use is from these places only, Alle (meal mart) International and Rubashkin. I'm gonna check the place out sometime next week, the food is Bucharen, only bummer is they close at 5pm.

An excellent choice would be, Montepulciano.

a great dry wine not to tannic, and a great smooth, jammy, finish.

I challenge anyone to come up with a kosher wine this good, at this price. (it's average price of $10) (and yes, it's light years better the ramon cardova rioja.)

La Creperie

I ate there about two months ago The Crepe with swiss cheese and apples sounded good so I ordered it, much to my suprise it was very sweet like a desert , it should have been in the desert selection, not the regular menu. (or at least make a notation that it is loaded with sugar) I told the manager about their obvious error, and he said with a snobby tone, I will consider the matter.

I would not recommend.

The kosher subway will soon join the kosher Nathan's in fast food heaven.
btw, if you have a bag of cut up lettuce, some ketchup, mayo and a pack of rubashkin sliced deli meat, YOU TOO can open up a subway.
