So just out of curiosity how many were you and what was the bill? Just asking because I want to introduce my cousin to it (1st year in BC) and because I recently became a student again so money is tight. Thanks!

Question about Wine Dinners

A Winemaker's dinner usually does involve having someone from the winery there and introduced etc. Usually with each course a short blurb about the wine and food about to be eaten is normal. That is for 1 winery dinner, if you are going to a multi course multi winery dinner, ie based on region perhaps (Wines from Chile) then each wine is introduced but someone from each winery isn't usually there but there is a host to give the short blurb.

That being said there are restaurants all over town who will pair wines for you for multiple courses without the talking.

Sunday Brunch: Medina vs Provence Marinaside vs Lift vs ????

I was going to recommend refuel as well :)

R.TL, Chambar or Boneta

I"m pretty sure it doesn't normally do 400 covers on a Monday night re: Chambar......but yes they are often busy...

R.TL, Chambar or Boneta

I have been to Chambar and Boneta and have tried to go to RTL with out success (packed the nights I wanted) and Chambar prolly has the most crowd pleasing menu, plus extensive wine list and extensive beer list and one of the best bartender's in the city.
When are you thinking of going? Keep in mind it's Dine-Out until Feb 6th and I know that Chambar and R.TL are involved

ISO Duck confit (Confit de Canard)

Accessible Vancouver Restaurants?

Japadog is certainly accessible :), also most Yaletown restaurants are accessible by ramps to the upper parts and most entrances being on the sidewalk on the lower parts.
Alibi Room, Chambar, Wild Rice, Irish Heather, Boneta all in Gastown are accessible. That's all I can come up with right now.....
