wine pairing for pasta with ramps?

Basically just pasta, olive oil, ramps, chili flakes, salt and breadcrumbs. It's a Babbo recipe. It makes me think of aglio olio e peperoncino.

Any ideas?

Lunch spot between Erie and Hammondsport

Any recommendations for a decent lunch place between Erie and Hammondsport? Will be travelling on a Sunday. Thanks.

Pittsburgh itinerary help please.

Thanks for all the info. The Firehouse lounge looks great. Is it walkable from the Hampton at night?

Pittsburgh itinerary help please.

Hello Pittsburgh experts,

Planning a one night trip, arriving on a Saturday, to attend a matinee performance the next day at Heinz Hall. Would like some advice on casual, but very good eats, and hotel as well.

I'm currently thinking of staying at either the Hampton in the strip district, or the Courtyard downtown.

Would like to be within walking distance for dinner and drinks. I'm leaning towards the Hampton, and having dinner at Kaya. Drinks at Eleven. Possibly brunch at Lidia's. I suppose that would mean driving to Heinz Hall so advice on parking would also be appreciated.

Thanks

Warhol Museum beer tasting?

Has anyone gone to this? Just curious what it's like.

Pittsburgh - post concert, late Friday night eats near the Carnegie Museum?

Thanks yayadave. We'd like something a little nicer than Primanti's. Tonic looks interesting.

Pittsburgh - post concert, late Friday night eats near the Carnegie Museum?

Please excuse the reposting. I don't want to find a place near Carnegie, PA, but the Carnegie museum and thought I should clarify that.

Anyhow, I'm looking for a place for a small bite and a drink after a concert at the Carnegie Music Hall in Oakland. We're staying near the strip district, so that's an alternative as well.

Thanks!

Pittsburgh - post concert, late Friday night eats near Carnegie?

Is there an interesting, nice-enough sorta place near the Carnegie Museum to go after a show at the Music Hall? Looking for a drink and a small bite.

We'll be staying near the strip district, so that area would be an alternative.

Arnie's in Concord, lobster roll?

Thanks for the reply. I guess I hadn't even thought about a lobster roll until I went on their website. Tinkers sounds perfect. Thanks also for the info on getting to the Mexican place from the airport (another thread). Looks like I'm covered for eats on my ways in and out of Manchester.

Arnie's in Concord, lobster roll?

Looking for somewhere for lunch after flying into Manchester NH, en route to Lebanon. I've been reading about Arnies in Concord (a bit off path), and saw lobster rolls on their menu. Sounds intriguing, but they don't list a price. Just wondering if its worth driving there for this. BTW, I don't eat meat, just fish/seafood.

Thanks

Manch, NH: taco truck @ Lake and Union

How would you get here from the Manchester airport?

Looking for lunch between St. Louis and Springfield

Looking for lunch between St. Louis and Springfield

Hello,

I'm flying into St. Louis and driving to Springfield. Any restaurant recommendations for lunch along the way?

Thanks

Dinner in Kent, Ohio Mangiamo's gone

For very casual dining, and a great beer list, Ray's Place is an institution in Kent. Great fries.

Downtown Cinci-near Westin Hotel

Thanks again everyone. We had a great time in Cincinnati.

Ended up at Nada and had a wonderful meal. Lots of things on their menu that I would like to try. We had rock shrimp with chipotle cream served with corn tamals, and mahi mahi tacos. Both were tasty with very high marks for the tacos. The service was quite good by the way. Some items on the menu seemed overpriced, but I'd definitely go back. Oh, I LOVED the grapefruit sorbet margarita.

Graeters ice cream was amazing.

The other night we were in town we took a cab to Nicola's. It was a perfect evening. The food quite good, and the service top notch. Nice wine list.

Downtown Cinci-near Westin Hotel

Thanks for all the great ideas. Looking forward to visiting Cincinnati.

Downtown Cinci-near Westin Hotel

Will be staying at the Westin in downtown Cincinnati for the weekend. Any good places to eat within walking distance?

Cleveland - need suggestions

For your fine dining option, while Dante's (my new favorite restaurant in the Cleveland area), and Moxie are good suggestions, they are both a bit of a drive from your hotel. Stick with one of the downtown places. Lola and One Walnut are great options.

Also, I heard good things about Crop, but have not been there.

Oysters in Cleveland?

I've had some yummy champagne poached oysters at 2182 in Brecksville. Their menu changes, so I don't know if they always do that.

Cleveland recs, please

There is a Bice restaurant in Tower City Center, to which the Renaissance is connected. I ate there last year and found it to be good.

Winter Park, Sunday dining

Thanks for all the replies. Re: Bosphorus, we really don't eat meat and would be concerned about that in a Turkish restaurant. Any thoughts?

Winter Park, Sunday dining

Any recommendations for dining in Winter Park, Florida on a Sunday? My husband and I will be in town for just one day. Preferences: seafood, italian, sushi. No chain restaurants please.

Thanks!

I-80 East Of Cleveland?

I realize this is late for the OP, but I'm curious if anyone has stayed or eaten at the Foxburg Inn www.visitfoxburg.com, in Foxburg PA. Looks like it's run by the same folks who own Gamekeepers and the Inn at Chagrin Falls, in Chagrin Falls, Oh.

ECLECTIC DINING IN CLEVELAND

Fat Cats in Tremont.

Just moved to Cleveland...where are the good eats?

Conte's restaurant in Brookpark serves some of the most authentic Italian I've had. It's run by a very nice couple from Italy. Small place. Only thing is that they only have a license for beer, no wine.

Akron Dining

They do serve wine and beer at the Mustard Seed Cafe.

I was just at Vegi-terranean. Interesting place. Lovely decor, good service, great concept. I enjoyed a "gardein" chicken marsala dish. I liked the texture much better than when I try to make chicken-like dishes myself from tofu. Surprisingly, I think the food they fell short on were some of the basics like salad, spaghetti, etc. Those things could have been tastier.

Near Steubenville, OH?

Naples Spaghetti House in downtown Steubenville is probably the best place to eat. It's been there forever, and I think the food is consistently good.

Spanky's pancake house, in Wintersville, is a nice little home style place, good pancakes, homemade mashed potatoes.

Akron Dining

There is great sushi in Akron at Sushi Katsu. It really is the best, and stands up to many sushi bars I've tried elsewhere. Sushi Katsu is in Merriman Valley, in the back side of a little plaza near the Merriman Rd/Portage Path intersection. My second favorite place for sushi in Akron is at the downtown House of Hunan, Main St. and Exchange.

I'm not one for Sunday brunch, so I'm sure you can get better info from someone else. That said, I'd check out the Mustard Seed Market in Fairlawn.

Columbus - lunch near University Plaza Hotel?

Thanks Lauren.
