La Laitiere yogurt

Try Croissan'Time in Fort Lauderdale...Very French and lots of French products. You could give them a call, as I can't say I've seen the yogurt there, but I've never looked.
I also think they have the best croissants outside of Paris!

Trishna or Quilon?

Trying to decide whether to dine at Trishna or Quilon. We will be spending eight nights in London, so can only choose one. I am a bit concerned about how some describe the tables as small and cramped at Trisha. Would appreciate feedback...Thanks!

Boca area Steakhouses: Chops/Cut432/Abe & Louie's/New York Prime?

We love Abe & Louie's. Food at NY Prime is very good, but the restaurant is excruciatingly noisy...more than any place we have ever been. Were disappointed with Chops and we've never been to Cut 432.

Breakfast Near Buckingham Palace? [London]

The menu looks terrific! How far a walk would that be from the palace? We are staying at Rubens at the Palace in Westminster. Many thanks!

Need for-real Top spots in Boca Raton/Delray-

I'm with you about Fairway. It will never happen....Look how long we've waited for Trader Joe's! All suggestions on the board are good ones, but as an ex NYer, I, too, expected wonderful produce here. It's definitely been a disappointment.

Thanks. Will probably eliminate Rules and keep Wilton's (near our hotel and good for first night). Will check out your suggestions. Very much appreciate your response!

Husband and I will be in London for eight nights beginning of July. Have narrowed our choices down to the following:
Gordon Ramsey (RHR)
The Ledbury
Amesta
Rasoi
Chez Bruce
Harwood Arms
Rules
Wiltons

Please let me know your thoughts. Also, we chose Rasoi for a great Indian dinner. Would you say this is the best?
Many thanks, Chowhounder from Fort Lauderdale, FL, USA

Buying local produce, other than at farmers markets...

I live in Fort Lauderdale and am totally disappointed in the produce down here! However, you can give Marando Farms in Fort Lauderdale a try.

Ft Lauderdale dinner recommendations?

I second what Chowfather recommended.
Cafe Maxx has been very disappointing the last few times we were there and Blue Moon is mediocre.

American breakfast Ft Lauderdale airport to Coral Gables

I agree with the consensus that OB House is your best bet. The food is VERY good, as compared to Lester's, which is just your average diner....Definitely better tan I would think a Waffle House would be, but still, your average diner. You will enjoy OB House and it really is only a few minutes north of the airport.

Good lunch near/on way to FLL?

Tap 42 on Andrews Ave has a great lunch menu and an outdoor patio. It's only 5-10 minutes to the airport from there.

Where do the locals eat in the Ft. Lauderdale area?

The best pizza, in my opinion, is Anthony's Coal Fired. That said, you have to like a charred, thin crust. Don't know about Peruvian and we do not have great Chinese food down here.

Epicure Market in Sunny Isles has anything you could possibly want...You'll need to check closing time, however.

Food recs near Fontainebleau, one nice, one casual

For fine dining, Scarpetta, right in the Fountainbleu, is pretty terrific. Timo, several miles up the beach would be a good choice for a bit more casual.

Ft. Lauderdale dinner, not far from music club on SW 3rd Avenue????

I highly recommend Eduardo de San Angel...You can definitely find better Italian food in NY than in Kitchenetta!
