Based on the marbling, the steaks do not appear to be prime and no where on their store signage does it say "prime."

Fort Lauderdale - 1 person business trip...Cuban?
Pembroke Pines is across the county and wil be a VERY expensive cab ride!! FOR LUNCH ON SATURDAY, TRY COCONUTS, JUST SOUTH OF LAS OLAS ON THE INTRA-COASTAL. Whoops, sorry for the caps. Can give recs for the business dinner with some parameters regarding food type, pricing, etc.
Ft. Lauderdale Late Night?
You can get a great burger and more at Rok Burger on Himmarshee, but be prepared for the scene...Don't know your age, but at that time of night on a Saturday, the street will be filled with drunk 20 somethings.
Miami - Boca to Naples - where can we stop for lunch?
I would suggest that you meet in Fort Lauderdale. That's halfway between Boca and Miami and from there you can get right on I-595 which goes into Alligator Alley (I-75) to Naples. If you let me know what kind of food you are looking for, I can give you some suggestions. Going up to Henry's is way out of your way.

If it's anything like te one in Fort Lauderdale, the food is very mediocre.
Wedding anniversary dinner in Budapest
Either Costes or Onyx are both tops for dinner. My husband and I were there about 10 months ago and had truly wonderful dinners in each.

Regarding Old Fort Lauderdale Breakfast House...was there today. Lots of new staff and I couldn't help thinking that they (as well as the owner) are much more pleasant than in the past...They will, as of 5/15, also be open for dinner 7 nights a week...Love their cron pancakes!

For breakfast, try Cypress Nook in Pompano Beach-Wonderful pancakes and omelets!
They also get excellent reviews for their dinners.
Lunch-Coconuts has a great outdoor deck on the intra-coastal.

Smitty's meats are good, but they aren't Prime. Sometimes, even BJ's has Prime steaks, but not regularly. I don't find that the ones at Costco are cut well...Was hoping maybe someone knew of a fine meat market other than Smitty's...Thanks though.

Any idea where I can purchase good, prime steaks locally to cook at home? If not, who do you think has (in Broward County) the best quality meat?
Breakfast/Brunch
Will be visiting over Memorial Day and haven't been in a few years. Looking for recommendations for breakfast or brunch on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. We will be staying at the Parker-Meridian and leaving MOnday, so a recommendation near Central Park South or in the E 50's or 60's would work best for that day. For the rest, someplace downtown will probably work best for us.

New Yorker looking for a special occassion Miami restaurant
You might enjoy Tuyo in downtown Miami, Norman Van Aiken's newish restaurant. We don't have anything in Miami , IMHO, which compares to the likes of Eleven Madison Park or Le Bernadin. Michael's Genuine is VERY casual, but the food is good and interesting. We were underwhelmed by the Forge.

My husband and I were EXTREMELY disappointed in Bash. The food was mediocre and that is being kind!
Budapest not to be missed
Onyx and Costes, both Michelin 1 stars were superb when we were there in September. I also highly recommend Bock Bistro for a more casual but delicious Hungarian meal.
Pre theatre in FLL (near BCPA optional)
But you will not get into Rok Burger on a theatre night unless you go at least 2 hours early.

East End Brasserie was good, not great...We tried it shortly after it opened...Will probably give it a while and then another try. We just weren't excited the first time around and the service was very amateurish.

La Degustation in Prague- so many bad reviews on tripadvisor, whats up with that??
We thought V Zatisi was just "okay." It paled next to La Degustation, in our opinion.

I would rather have a dog on the patio of a restaurant any day than a smoker at the next table!
