River North dining

Visiting Chicago in a couple of weeks and staying in the RN area. Looking for dinner suggestions for a "middle-aged" couple who are foodies from way back---enjoy just about every cuisine and prefer to keep the tab under $80-100 for 2. Creativity on a menu wins out....not the tried-and-true unless it is superbly prepared. Not looking for the touristy destinations but where locals go back to time and again.

Chicken liver lovers?

You've got my mouth watering. I might even have to break down and make it at home. Thanks MGZ.

Chicken liver lovers?

Thanks for the suggestion---will definitely give that a try....have been wanting to go to The Dandelion anyway.

Chicken liver lovers?

Indeed---have made it at home...but I always enjoy a good meal out. Used to get a great chicken liver pasta at an Italian place on Cottman near Frankford, but sadly they went out of business.

Chicken liver lovers?

Can anyone recommend a restaurant in the Philly area (Center City/Bucks/Montgomery) that serves Spaghetti Caruso? A favorite of mine that seems to be disappearing from menus.

Mexican near the I-95 corridor?

Am picking up a son at the airport who is hungering for good, authentic Mexican food. Any suggestions along the I-95 corridor or in Bucks County?

A quiet dinner place for conversation in Rittenhouse Square area?

Ironic that you should suggest FSS, for I just made reservations there for this occasion. So was glad to get a recommendation as a follow-up! We're dining there this evening.

A quiet dinner place for conversation in Rittenhouse Square area?

Thanks everyone for your input! I'm leaning toward Devon....am a fan of OH but am leery of the noise level for this particular meal. Has anyone tried Liberte Chic Urban at the Sofitel?

A quiet dinner place for conversation in Rittenhouse Square area?

Looking for a combination of low-to-moderate level noise, very good food (am open to most any cuisine), and entrees in the $15 to $30 range for a weekday catch-up dinner with an out-of-town friend....something in the area between the Comcast Center and Rittenhouse Square. Any suggestions?

North of Miami--One more Thanksgiving searcher!

Thanks very much for the suggestions and links...a big help!

North of Miami--One more Thanksgiving searcher!

We're headed for Sunny Isles next week for a week's stay and realize it's not exactly the epicenter of culinary delights. Is there any place within a half hour's drive from there that would provide a relatively traditional Thanksgiving meal.....and if not traditional, at least delicious, in a relaxed setting?

Reading Terminal Market fish?

Any recommendations for the best fish at Reading Terminal Market? I'm always overwhelmed and have had a couple of less than stellar pieces of fish from there. Help!

Pittsburgh area (west): Best dining bets for the dollar?

We'll be staying in Robinson Township (Bulger, to be precise), about 10 miles west of the airport, for a week and are looking for dinner possibilities in that area. We're not chain fans, like good food (just about any cuisine), food triumphs over frills any day, and we're happiest when the bill runs somewhere between $40 and $80 for two of us. Any suggestions?

Walnut or Chestnut Street dining

Looking for a relaxing, quiet place somewhere along Walnut and Chestnut between 5th and 11th with really good food (any cuisine) where we won't be rushed.....and the bill won't top $75 for two of us.

Where to eat in Newtown?

Avoid the Garden Grille! And no particular raves for The Grotto or Temperance either. Good Italian at La Stalla, La Nuova Vita, Florentino's, The Saloon. For upscale, somewhat "Frenchy" food, Rouget can't be beat....classiest restaurant in town.

Child-friendly Sat AM munching in Center City Philly

Any brainstorms on where to take a 9-year-old girl on Saturday morning for something to eat (she eats everything, from sushi to spaghetti)? We're going to the ballet at the Academy at noon and will be coming into the city via train, arriving around 10 am. Reading Terminal Market was one thought, but it seems overwhelming in its choices.

MARTA Friendly Restaurants

Atlanta---will be coming into the airport on a Sunday around 11 am and have nearly a 10-hour layover. Am looking for a relaxing and rather upscale (but not too!) restaurant close to MARTA stop that would be serving from 1 or 2 in the afternoon. Any cuisine is fair game but don't want to spend more than about $80 for two. Less is better. Perhaps a restaurant near something that would be interesting to explore after we eat? Galleries, museum, neighborhood? Or perhaps we explore first and then eat, allowing for a restaurant that doesn't open until 4 or so. Suggestions much appreciated.

Happy Hour Suggestion

Any suggestions for a better-than-average happy hour in the Old City area, south of Market? Looking for something for Tuesday night. More interested in good drinks/prices than food.
