Can you refreeze scallops?

I am using a bag of frozen scallops but we'll never be able to eat them all tonight. Can I refreeze the thawed scallops that I'm not using? They're still cold.

I realize they won't be as good the next time around but if the choice is between cooking them all, and putting half of the leftover seared scallops in the fridge and refreezing the excess...which is the better option?

Roasted Beets - To Wrap or Not To Wrap

i'm roasting some gorgeous beets from the farmers market but can't decide whether to wrap them in foil or not.

what to do? what are the pros and cons or wrapping your beets?

BBQ - Where to find the best in LA?

I love barbeque. All sorts - all styles - all meats - dry, wet, what have you. So, I'm on a mission to find the best in LA. Who's best in your opinion?

Memphis / Texas / Carolina...doesn't matter which type...I'm just looking for the good stuff. I live in Silver Lake but would be willing to make the trek for something worthwhile. Until now, my favorite has been Baby Blues' pulled pork sammie, doused in their hot vinegar and dipped in their sampling of bbq sauces (yummm XXX).

Help me branch out!

Cheese!

the village gourmet on hillhurst has a fantastic selection of european cheeses (and charcuterie). it's connected to the alcove, which is only so-so, but it's my pick on the east side.

on hillhurst just east of franklin.

Best Restaurant Cheese Plate in London?

Tonight is my last night in London and I'm on a mad quest for a good, solid cheese plate - being Sunday evening, all cheese shops I've found are closed. Anyone know of a good cheese plate to be found in a restaurant / bar? I'm based in Russell Square - a point of reference.

Any advice would be much appreciated!

Reputable Seafood Market in / around Silver Lake?

where can I go to buy good seafood around Silver Lake? Santa Monica Seafood Co. is just so far away...

simple, unpretentious country french bistro

you have a lot of great picks to work with already, but one to add is Cafe Stella in Silver Lake. Granted, it is a bit pricey and a part of the SL "scene", but it's delicious, quaint and the greatest date spot (both upbeat and romantic). what does everyone else think?
