best chinese delivery in Beechwood/Los Feliz

Stick to Thai.
It's sad but we have no good chinese.
Some Thai places offer chinese food, like egg foo young but pretty bleak.
Point Dume delivers give them a try

Has anyone had Melisse's 8 Course "Foie For All" Tasting Menu?

Ban starts in July.
Get it while you can

New Wave for Gladstones??

wow reading all the post below i'll be skipping the frozen meat.
Lobster is where I'll continue to take out of town visitors for the ocean view and plus a ride on the ferris wheel is always fun.

christmas eve and day recs S.F.

Thank you all for your suggestions.
After securing a reservation at Bushi Tei for Christmas eve were whisked away to home for a nice gathering.
However Bush Tei was hit the day after Christmas and WOW our meal was so great !
My next visit I'm going straight to this place again. We tasted a wide variety of food, the silken tofu was great.
Harris for steaks was equally as great.
Started Fri. w/room service with was not good but we were lazy.
A walk to Sams for chowder, the clock bar for a great drink.
Christmas day was spent entirely in bed watching Christmas movies and eating, drinking all my purchases from Embarcadero center and the Farmers Market.
ZUNI was also hit for dinner during our stay another greg meal.
Oh and Drinks at Top of the Mark at Sunset.
Happy New Year.
Great city you have.

Looks like my partner and I are heading to San francisco after some family visiting along the 5 north from los angeles.
A nice traditional Christmas eve dinner somewhere and Dinner Christmas day, A christmas goose would be nice.
Very last minute.on our end.
I'm throwing the net wide from old school steak house to the city's finest.
Hate to be so Vague

Usually we hit a the Smoke House if familiar here in Los Angeles christmas day night and watch the oxygen tanks file by it's a hoot, fake snow and great martinis.

Christmasy spot feeling humbug

Reviving this post from last year to see what's new
From weho/bev hills to los feliz..
And as much as I want a burger I am avoiding the grove/ farmers market .

Need Health Food Store recommendations - Los Feliz/Silverlake/Echo Park

I was surprised Jon's market has a nice selection of organic produce.
And great cheap deli for cheese and smoked fish.

best brunch mid-city to east-LA-ish

I'll second Canale.

The new shiny Del Taco is at Sunset and Franklin where another guilty pleasure was Pioneer Chicken.
As soon as it opened you know I hit it.

Well it's been quite a culture shock going from silverlake/ los feliz area to Beverly hills DAjacent hehe.
Gotta say the sandwiches at Bristol looked pretty good.
Hot Dogs are on def. on the list Tail of the pup if still standing is the closest.
And Taco Bell will be be the fast emergency. I gotta have a bean and cheese burrito indulgence.
I do get cravings for The Bell.
I see lots of sushi in the area thanks for the help.
Jans boy does that take me back to the 80's and being a wild teenager.

burrito-taco stand desert @ Doheny & Beverly

burrito-taco stand desert @ Doheny & Beverly

After years of being in a location where taco stands were rampant and I could choose which stand I wanted that day for lunch I am now at Doheny and Sunset during the day.
Not a taco stand in sight aside from Taco Bell on Beverly.
Any tips near this area ?
Also tips on some affordable lunch spots as well would be helpful.
Thank you in advance

First drink

Ye that is what I'm talking about.
Dress is casual I've always gone in typical L.A. style "business casual" Jeans and a Shirt.
No need to order food but I'm a sucker for oysters

Mexican recs

L.A. has tons of great mexican.
As far as mexican with a full bar I've had trouble.
Malo in silverlake is by far not the best but it's the best in the silver lake area, Sonora style food , total hip vibe and would be a fun spot on vacation.
Happy Hour is fun 6 bucks beer and shot of tequila, The tacos are very much what I grew up with, fried shell. J
Had brunch on sunday Chicken Pozole hit the spot.
service is very l.a.

First drink

Providence the bar.
It's Especially if your going for a drink or 2.
My last visit it took the preparation and inspection of 5 shiso leafs for my cocktail which only had 2.
The bar is very meticulous and it was a piece of art.
It's quite enough where you can talk and chic enough for a 21 yr old.
I find it a special little secret as most people go for dinner.
Was my 2nd B-day visit for a drink.

fresh turkeys for thanksgiving?

if you fly into Burbank Mcall's meat and fish in los feliz has them. pre order.

Best fried chicken in LA? where is it?

I'm a sucker for DINAH's

Where to go after Tiki Ti ?

ok I would avoid el chavo for mexican food except for some happy hour tacos in the bar.
Lot's of good places within walking distance.
MALO for mexican
The kitchen
Little Doms
Cafe Figaro
And since your retro cocktailing I'd hit The Dresden for some old school steak and Marty and Elaine on the piano this is where swingers was filmed.
Your also close to the red lone and can subway Downtown or to Hollywood.
You could also walk to Barbrix
Thai food is plentiful since your near thai town.
Also near and walking distance karaoke and Thai food at Pattaya Bay prob. get crab here and after all those drinks just may be fun.
