Looking for suggestions near Union Station in DC - SF hounds with no car
Price point, if we can find under $25/person, that would be best. We dont mind splurging once or twice, but on the whole, budget is important.
Types of food, we literally eat everything. I like Asian, Indian, Italian, Mexican, American. My wife has a more Asian oriented palate, but can eat everything too.
Looking for suggestions near Union Station in DC - SF hounds with no car
Hi all,
I'm going to be in town for a conference, and have 3 dinners with my wife/baby. (We'll have 1 lunch together as well) My wife/baby will also have 2 lunches on their own.
We're staying at the Hyatt Regency (Capitol Hill), near Union Station. We'll have no car, so need to find places within walking distance. (close enough or easy enough for my wife to get to with a stroller)
We're SF chowhounds who love all sorts of food, so any recommendations would be swell. I read through some posts using the search function but get confused b/c I don't know what is and is not close.
Thanks!
1 dinner in Indianapolis
I will be in Indianapolis Hyatt Regency, and I will only have 1 open dinner slot in my schedule for business travel. If you had 1 dinner, where would you go and what would you order? Thanks! (my palate is very flexible as an SF Bay Area hound)
Dessert on Valentine's Day - East Bay?
Looking for quick suggestions. My wife and I have plans for dinner tomorrow already, but I wanted to bring her somewhere different for dessert. (I hate those pri fixe menus!!) Any suggestions?
I would prefer East Bay as we live in Oakland/Alameda area. But open to any suggestions, especially since we won't have reservations. Thanks!
Dessert place in East Bay (San Leandro/Fremont)
Anyone know of any nice dessert places and/or cafes where i can bring a date after dinner? Preferably around San Leandro area, but will go as far south as Hayward/Union City/Fremont, or east toward Castro Valley. Been searching the boards with no luck.
Thanks!
Dinner Recs for Tenderloinish/Downtown area
Bodega Bistro and Pagolac aren't too far if you're willing to walk a little bit.

I'm going to second Boulevard and House of Prime Rib. Wasn't impressed with Harris'. Hear good things about Alfred's steakhouse as well.
San Mateo "date" places
Hey all,
Looking for some date places in and around San Mateo... all sorts of food welcome. Key is that is has to be nice enough for a date... doesnt have to be *overly* romantic, just good ambience/decor. (so no hole in the walls, much as I do love them personally) I'm a newbie to Peninsula dining, so appreciate all the help I can get.
The only place I've been to so far is Spiedo. (also been to Vigonier, Hotaru, and Nipa-Pon, but those were with friends...)
Any other recommendations? In particular, any ethnic places that are still nice enough for a date? (Chinese? Thai? Japanese?) Please list, thanks!
