Tender Greens

I have lunch there at least every other week, always a salad, and never disappointed in the freshness, flavor or portion. My lunch companions vary their choices and never a negative comment. I work nearby and it is one of my lunch favorites.

My Endless Search For The Perfect Ribs

Pretty much raised my 2 kids (now 25 and 35) on Hoggly Woggly's, but now that I'm in the OC, I'm devoted to Newport Rib Company which has a twin in the Naples Rib Company. Family owned, generous portions, and fall-off-the-bone yummy.

Changing Jobs, Culver City Lunch Spots?

If you're going to be at Sony you will surely be introduced to 2 yummy places in the next block, between the Kirk Douglas Theatre and Starbucks....Double Dutch which is fresh and filling and a pleasure, and right next door is S&W which is traditional diner fare loaded with comfort food. I work at City Hall and have tried everything in a 4 block radius. I am particularly fond of Tender Greens when the weather is nice. Ford's is better for cocktails than a meal.
When there's time to drive, Cafe Laurent on Overland is way yummy as well as La Dijonaise on Washington at the Helms block. Other favorites are The Bluebird Cafe on National, Roll 'n Rye on Jefferson and On Higher Grounds on Washington. No excuse for going hungry around here!!

Visiting Austin next month, please review my choices, thx

Hey there...as a devoted Southern California gal who now travels to Austin to visit grandbabies, I must tell you that one night at Hudson's is worth the entire flight. Your final night's search for BBQ with a child can easily be satisfied by the most casual and friendly of places...Rudy's. There's more than one location so you will have a choice. Have fun!!!!
