Quick, what to do with a whole yellow croaker?
Hi, I know that this is an old post but yellow croaker is one of my favorite fishes. I like to prepare it very simply. Scale and leave the fish whole, including the head. Salt, pepper and a generous amount of sesame seed oil (yes, even tho it's strong). Bake in the oven at 375F (how long depends on the size of the fish). Flip half way thru.
The results will be a very clean tasting meaty fish with a sticky salty sauce from the juices that run out.

Where to go for fine dining Chinese in TO?
Hi Everyone,
I am planning a 70th birthday party for my father for approximately 30-40 people. Do these recommendations still hold? I know that the chefs change quite frequently and want to make sure that the food is still good at the above mentioned restaurants. Also would anyone happen to know if any of these restaurants have private rooms large enough to hold 40 people? I'm from out of town and will not be able to research this on my own.
Thanks in advance for your help!

baby friendly resto in Napa or Sonoma
Hello All,
I will be in SF the week of June 16-24. We have a party of 7, 2 of which are babies under the age of 1. We would really love to go to a restaurant with great food but do not want to ruin the atmosphere for other diners. Can you recommend a child friendly restaurant for us? I was considering Ad Hoc but am not sure how casual they are.
Thanks,
Susan
Lunching My Way Around College & University
Hi,
I used to work right there as well. In the summers Saigon Palace was my fave place to go. Any of the Pho dishes are good, excellent springrolls and the egg custard served with the rice dishes is tasty.
Also, again better in the summer as it is definitely a 15 min walk at a quick pace, Jumbo Empanada in Kensington Market.
As for something closer try Saffron Tree at Elizabeth and Gerrard. I believe they have a lunch buffet, I've only tried their dinner menu which was decent.
