Looking for a Uniquely New York Restaurant Have you been to Salts in Cambridge? Best in the Boston area. Only Grammercy Tavern compares in my dining experience. Ear, Fatty Crab, Momofuko, Corner Bistro, Beppe, and Aquavit does a 24.07 3-course lunch all the time. The Flight of different Aquavit flavors are a good deal too. I miss Shopsin's, McHales and even the Grange Hall. Nothing like having a cocktail at that beautiful art deco bar with the Savior of the Prohibition FDR starin' back at ya! Go to Brooklyn and discover, APT 138, Sample, Frankie's, Noodle Pudding, Cocotte, Press 195, Rachel's, The Good Fork, Alma, Etc... |

Wandering around looking for dinner after the wait at Blue Smoke was too much, we found Beppe. What a treat! The homemade pasta was perfectly cooked and I had the zuppa di bueno fortuna. The little meatballs reminded me on my grandma's except Beppe's had a crunchy bite of black pepper that really made the dish. We had some great wines by the glass that had a vary earthy old world flavor that I love. And a muffin when we left so I had breakfast by Beppe too! Thanks! |

I just got a temp job on 57th and Madison. I walk over from Columbus Circle. Any good recomendations for a quick breakfast and lunch spot for a foodie like myself? I am only a temp so the purse strings are a bit tight, but I could splurge once a week or so. |

Stone Park: I've had it with the attitude I also like Cocotte, parkslopemama and fandoc. The duck comes on a lighter than air cous cous and root veggies. Makes my tummy go "Quack"! I also had a great riesling there...so minerally and delicious with the skate dish. Louis Sipp, I think? It was tasty, THAT I remember! |

I love Saul in Carroll Gardens! I agree. For a special night out, Saul is one of the best places on Smith. Its been a while since I was there and I had a similar experience. I am glad to hear they are keeping up the great service and food. I found Saul as good as anything in a fancy smancy place on Park Ave South! But in Brooklyn! Trust me Brooklynites, don't let Saul slip away. |
