Hottest, Spiciest Wings in OC?

We're looking for some balls-to-wall hot and spicy wings in OC. The 911 from Hooters is too tame. Any recommendations on wings so hot you'll feel it again the next day?

Food Network

The sad truth of the matter is that "high-end" food businesses rarely, if ever, advertise on tv. McD's is a staple of Americana, whether we like it or not.

Exactly! Anything that gets people who are afraid/timid about food and cooking to try something new is a good thing. So what if it was SL or RR or Paula or Ina who was the cause?

Once again, the people who post on this board is not the FN's target audience.

It's a business. They need sponsors, McD's offered.

Food Network

The Food Network isn't aimed at foodies/chowhounds/chefs/frequent restaurant-goers. It's for folks who's idea of eating out is a sit-down fast food place, IHOP, Denny's, Coco's, etc.

As spades posted above, if the shows get their target audience excited about the various and infinite possibilities of food, then it is working exactly as intended. And who cares if the celebrity chefs and their shows are making money? At the end of the day, the FN is still a business.

I'm thrilled that there are people getting tuned into the wide world of food from watching shows on the FN.

Newport Seafood on Las Tunas in San Gabriel.

Yes, Beef lu lac is the French-style beef.
Also, their squab is pretty good too. Nice and deep-fried!

Recs for Cerritos/Artesia not Chinese, Indian, or Korean

Diana's on Pioneer and Alondra is great Mexican food. I've since moved out of Cerritos, but every chance I get to visit friends and family there, I swing by Diana's to pick up a quart of their hottest salsa.

Kabuki on South and Gridley is pretty decent. It's in the Target plaza, and there's some other food places there as well, including a Peruvian one.

Marco Polo in Newport Beach

Service being a bit slow is a bit of an understatement. :)

I've only gone for lunch, and although the food is good, the service is beyond slow.
