Solo Dinner at Mamma Zu or Edo Squid?

Everything's delicious but the soft shell crabs & the rockfish are a couple of seasonal favorites of mine.

Solo Dinner at Mamma Zu or Edo Squid?

There is bar seating at Mamma Zu and I've generally found that you can get a seat mid-week without a wait, if you arrive before 6:15pm or so. Enjoy!

Falafel - Richmond, VA

Thanks for the suggestions! I'll check a few of these out in the coming weeks. Speaking of mediterranean cusine, has anyone tried Aziza's on Main?

Falafel - Richmond, VA

I'm craving a falafel sandwich! Any suggestions where I can find a really good, freshly made one in Richmond? Thanks!

Richmond, near VCU

There are several wonderful spots close to VCU, among my favorites are Comfort, The Black Sheep, and Edo's Squid (or for a funkier experience, try Edo's sister restaurant, Mamma 'Zu. Both serve essentially the same delicious Italian menu but Edo's takes reservations whereas Mamma Zu's first come, first serve.)

Lowertown/Mears Park - St. Paul, MN Suggestions

Thanks so much for your suggestions. Tanpopo sounds like just the kind of place I love. I can't wait to try it. I'll check out Christo's & The Black Dog, too.

It's good to know that the farmer's market is in the neighborhood because it seems like I may need to eat-in more than I usually do, but with great locally grown ingredients that may be a good thing!

P.S. I'd consider a short bus ride to be about 15 minutes one-way. Does that increase my options at all? Thanks again!

Lowertown/Mears Park - St. Paul, MN Suggestions

I'll be spending summer in the Lowertown/Mears Park area of St. Paul, MN and would appreciation suggestions for restaurants, markets, and take-out that are within easy walking distance (or a short bus ride). Thanks!

Downtown Buffalo - Evening Recs

I'm spending a few weeks in downtown Buffalo and would appreciate suggestions for good places to grab evening meals and/or places that will deliver to downtown hotels. I'm without a car and will generally be dining alone. Thanks!

Richmond this Saturday..need lunch spot

I'd recommend Acacia in Carytown. Their salads are wonderful and if your guests want something heartier than salads or sandwiches, their entrees are delicious. And be sure to order a limeade--it's one of the best in town!

Dallas restaurant recommendations?

If you're looking for a funky breakfast spot, I'd recommend The All Good Cafe in Deep Ellum. The South Austin Migas are one of my all-time favorite breakfasts. Enjoy!

Cheese in Philadelphia

I'll second DiBruno Bros. It's at 18th & Chestnut. There are also a couple of wonderful cheese shops in Reading Market Terminal where you'll also find Metropolitan Bakery--a good source for wonderful breads. There's also a Metropolitan Bakery location just south of Rittenhouse Square, if you don't make it to Reading Market Terminal.

You may also want to consider stopping by Tria Cafe (18th & Sansom)---it's a wonderful cheese, wine, and beer cafe. A great place for a late afternoon snack. Enjoy!

Best Sandwich in Richmond?

My favorite spots for sandwiches in Richmond are Coppola's, Chiocca's (Belmont at Kensington), and Perly's.

Are there any really great sub/hoagy/grinder shops in town? I moved here from Philly and I'm surviving without the cheesesteaks but I really miss hoagies made on wonderful hard seeded rolls. Thanks!
